It is awful and unjustifiable for institutes of higher Ed to subject their students to the SWAT team for protesting to end their university’s complicity in a genocide recognized by the worlds highest court. Shame.

Out of curiosity, when was the last time massive student protests turned out to be on the wrong side of history, and the state using police violence against them turned out to be right?

While the resolution showed a significant evolution of the US position and contained many important elements on the future of Gaza including a rejection of any demographic or territorial change and in relation to the Gaza Strip as part of of the Palestinian State, it also had several extremely problematic aspects that had to be rejected. Guyana explained thoroughly these elements. Take a listen.

Perfect night to hear @makramayache read his work-in-progress "Small Gods @ the Start of the World." Filled me with hope about queer love & the multitudes that humans contain. Meanwhile, Alberta shows us why "The Hooves Belonged to the Deer" had to come first.
Teachers deserve a fair deal! So grateful for everything they do for kids in the province. The last 4 years have shown us the importance of public education, but it doesn’t work without teachers.
