the engineer who built Claude Code just dropped a 28-minute video on how to write prompts that actually work
I've seen $300 courses that don't cover what he shows in the first 10 minutes
CLAUDE.md files, memory shortcuts, parallel sessions, prompting patterns
all in one video and completely free
works whether you're a developer, a beginner, or someone who's been using Claude for months
based on this, I put together 18 things you can copy and use in Claude today
full guide in the article below
THE ANTHROPIC ENGINEER WHO WROTE "BUILDING EFFECTIVE AGENTS" EXPLAINS IT ALL IN UNDER 15 MINUTES.
More useful than months of figuring it out yourself.
Worth watching & bookmarking for the weekend.
Anthropic pays engineers $750,000+ a year to understand how LLMs work.
Stanford just put a 2 hour lecture that covers 80% of it for FREE.
Bookmark this. Give it 2 hours today.
It might be the highest ROI thing you do this month:
This 2-hour Stanford lecture breaks down how models like ChatGPT and Claude are actually built, clearer than what many people in top AI roles ever get exposed to.
Save this and set aside two hours today. It might end up being the most valuable thing you learn all week.
"Trump, the Mar-a-Lago golfer, is the only bull in the world who walks around with his own china shop. When a clown takes over the Palace, he doesn't become King. It's the Palace that becomes a circus"
French senator Claude Malhuret once again nails it. You won't hear a better indictment of Trump and his Gulf war than this. Well worth 5 minutes of your time

You're using Claude wrong.
Here's my (exact) setup before I even prompt:
Step 1. Download Claude and open Cowork
→ Go to Claude. com/ download.
→ Install the desktop app.
→ Click the Cowork tab at the top.
→ You need a Pro plan ($20/mo). Worth it.
→ Full guide here: https://t.co/g6oLzWSOuo
---
Step 2. Select the right model (don't skip this)
→ Click the model dropdown.
→ Select "Opus 4.6."
→ Turn on "Extended Thinking."
→ Never change these. Wrong model = bad output.
---
Step 3. Build your folder
→ Create one master folder on your computer.
→ Inside it, create 4 subfolders:
✦ ABOUT ME - who you are + how you write
✦ PROJECTS - one subfolder per live project
✦ TEMPLATES - your best work as structures
✦ OUTPUTS - where Claude saves finished files
→ Upload this folder. That's how it reads you.
---
Step 4. Create 3 context files inside ABOUT ME
→ These replace prompting. This is the setup.
→ Create them as .md files. Plain text, saved as .md
✦ about-me.md - what you do day-to-day.
✦ my-voice.md - tone, phrases you hate, 3 example
✦ my-rules.md - ask first, show a plan, get approval
OR
Simply download my .md files here: https://t.co/psB7XxAv8w
Subscribe for free. Open my welcome email.
Hit the automatic reply button inside.
---
Step 5. Set Global Instructions (once, forever)
Go to Settings → Cowork → Edit Global Instructions.
→ Paste: "I'm [Name], [Role]. Read my files before every task. Ask clarifying questions before executing. Show a plan before acting. Never delete without my approval."
→ You set this once. It runs every session.
→ Your prompts can now be 10 words long.
---
Before your next Cowork session, check these:
1. Am I in Cowork (not Chat)?
2. Is Opus 4.6 + Extended Thinking on?
3. Did I point it to my folder with context files?
Set these first. Then prompt.
Top 1% of Claude users do this. Now you can too.
Claude Code will fundamentally change the nature of academic research.
But most academics don't know how to use it.
Here's how to get started on Claude Code (even if you've never coded).

🚨BREAKING: The "Cursor for scientific research" just dropped and it runs entirely inside Claude Code.
It's called claude-scientific-skills and it gives Claude 140 ready-to-use scientific skills from a single plugin install.
No API doc hunting. No library configuration. No duct-taped research pipelines.
It's powered by 28+ live scientific databases wired directly into Claude.
→ Describe your research goal in plain English
→ Claude finds the right skill automatically
→ Full pipeline runs: data retrieval → analysis → publication-ready output
→ Works across biology, chemistry, medicine, ML, and clinical research
All running inside Claude Code. Zero manual setup.
But it's not just a prompt library.
It's a full AI research lab:
→ Drug discovery: ChEMBL → RDKit → DiffDock → lead optimization in one prompt
→ Genomics: 10X data → Scanpy → GRN inference → pathway enrichment
→ Clinical: VCF → ClinVar → pharmacogenomics → patient report
→ Multi-omics: RNA-seq + proteomics + metabolomics integrated automatically
7.8k stars. 924 forks. MIT Licensed.
MacOS, Windows, Linux works everywhere Claude Code runs.
This is the moment AI stops being a chat tool and becomes an actual research partner.

Voici Anna Maria Hefele, chanteuse harmonique allemande.
Elle est une des rares personnes maîtrisant parfaitement l'art de chanter deux notes simultanément.
Le résultat est surprenant ! 😳
Here is an nice follow-up article stressing the significance of the discovery presented in our recent paper in Nature Comm. by Rodriguez-Daza et al.

Un autre échange délicieux de @mbockcote, cette fois-ci avec le libertarien Jonathan Hamel, qui n’en manque jamais une pour nous étaler toute la vacuité intellectuelle dont il est capable.
La fin: du bonbon ! 😀

Congrats to Carolina Rodriguez-Daza for two great achiements. First, she is the happy mother of Agatha. Second, her article on the effect of cranberry procyanidins on the proliferation of Akkermansia muciniphila is now published in Nature Comm. (https://t.co/mMbQB131GH). Our findings reveal a previously unrecognized iron acquisition strategy in this bacterium, allowing it to utilize PAC-bound iron. This mechanism accounts for its expansion in response to PACs and its ability to outcompete enterobacteria. These results offer valuable mechanistic insight into the role of polyphenols in modulating microbial physiology and ecological interactions.

BREAKING: After the release of an ad that caused Trump's tantrum ending trade talks with Canada, the original video of Ronald Reagan slamming tariffs has resurfaced. He called the new ad "fake."
The original destroys Trump on tariffs.
BREAKING: trump is having a temper tantrum, ending ALL trade negotiations with Canada.
He's butthurt that they aired an ad of President Reagan that shows how dumb trump's tariffs are.
It's VERY effective.
Be a shame if it went viral. 🇺🇲🇨🇦
