Bayelsa West Senatorial Road: Ekeremor-Ndoro road project making so much progress.
There are seven culverts already completed within the first 4 kilometres of the road.
The Government of Assured Prosperity is indeed working.
Today, 4th of June, remains a special day in my life, a blessed day of my birth. In line with my personal principles, I have never been known for a loud celebration and I do not encourage anyone to do otherwise on my behalf.
Long before I became the governor, I had kept my birthday very private and it has remained so, since I came into office. It is usually a day of deep reflection, a time to commune with my creator in prayer.
I humbly thank you all for the good wishes and my humble request is for you to join me in prayers for sound health, wisdom, joy in my family and the State.
Let me assure our people that I remain committed to the service and progress of our dear State. Our Government of Assured Prosperity is bequeathing to our people enduring legacies that will stand the threshold of history. Thank you for the love.
Happy New Month Bayelsans!
It is the 6th month of the year.
I welcome you all to the month of June, 2026.
May God Almighty continue to shower His blessings upon you all.
I enjoin every citizen of Bayelsa State to join hands in building an enviable state with steady progress and development. Nua!
Today, I celebrate every child on the occasion of the 2026 National Children’s Day, with our commitment to promote their rights, prioritise their welfare, and provide them with quality education.
As a father myself, I fully appreciate the heavy responsibility of raising children with honour, ensuring they uphold discipline and strong moral values.
With the theme: “Future Now: Promoting Inclusion for Every Nigerian Child”, our Government of Assured Prosperity has continued to invest massively in programmes and projects that directly impact our teeming youthful population.
We are very deliberate in building the future of the children with our educational innovation including the shift in the secondary curriculum to skills-based studies, which has led to the establishment of science, technical and vocational colleges across the State.
We are progressively building a virile state where every child can access equal opportunities, dream boldly, grow safely, and thrive without discrimination.
As a government, we are very conscious of the fact that children are the pride of this great State. and our nation’s most valuable investment. They truly represent the future.
As we honour them on this special children’s day, may God continue to protect you for a greater future ahead. I say a hearty congratulations to you all!
Sagbama–Ekeremor Road: New Dawn for Bayelsa West!
The completion of the 42-kilometre Sagbama–Ekeremor Road in Bayelsa West Senatorial District is far more than a milestone, it heralds a transformative and new era for the people of the region.
Today, Wednesday, April 8, 2026, I joined some of my brother-governors of the All Progressives Congress (APC) at the commissioning of two landmark projects completed by our colleague in Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu.
The projects, which were inaugurated by Senate President Godswill Akpabio, on behalf of President Bola Tinubu GCFR, include the Opebi-Mende-Ojota Link Bridge and a multi-agency complex known as Bola Ahmed Administrative Complex in Alausa.
I attended today’s event as a dress rehearsal for Friday’s visit of Mr. President to our dear state to commission four signature projects executed by our administration. They include the independent power plant (60mw gas turbines) at Elebele, the 630-metre Angiama-Oporoma Bridge in Southern Ijaw LGA, the dualised Road One of the New Yenagoa City linking the Airport Road, and the 42km Sagbama-Ekeremor road, which had since been completed and awaiting inauguration.
I again invite people of our state to turn out in their numbers and accord Mr. President and all other visitors to our state the usual hospitality for which Bayelsans are known.
