I'd argue that Kyon is the main protagonist of Haruhi Suzumiya, as most of the inner dialogue is his, not hers.

On July 9, 2026, a federal judge in Des Moines granted DraftKings' summary judgment motion and denied Bavas's.

Judgment was entered for DraftKings... but the ruling is SEALED. The public docket has a one-page judgment and nothing else.

Bavas is fighting to unseal it. DraftKings is fighting to redact more.

Here's what's currently blacked out: internal Slack messages showing DraftKings froze all four tournament markets when it saw the weather coming, reopened them, kept taking bets, and discussed voiding everything after Round 3.

The court also denied DraftKings' attempt to keep discovery (including a ChatGPT log) away from third parties.

A bill of costs filed July 23. DraftKings wants their legal costs from Bavas.
