Happy to announce that this little light has joined our family: Miriam Dinah Sardelić Winikoff, our daughter and Adrian's little sister was born on 16 December at 11.25 AM in Wellington hospital just before Hanukkah season. Wishing restful holidays and light and peace in 2023!
For the first time in New Zealand history, Parliament has achieved a 50/50 gender split in the House.
October 25 saw Soraya Peke-Mason sworn in — she is the 177th woman to enter parliament, bringing the split to 60 women and 59 men.
Happy birthday to Marie Skłodowska Curie, who was born on this day in 1867!
Marie Curie was the first person to be awarded the Nobel Prize twice, and is still the only individual to receive the prize in two different science categories.
