@history99917180 ...sorry, not job but an IT gremlin. Rome, ended up in a hotel for a week full of Italian Sikhs at some kind of conference. Taken out to see the sights of Rome by a nice young Italian girl of 17-18, but her Mum came along as a chaperone because English people cannot be trusted!
@history99917180 Saw Dad earlier, he did not know your Dad but did say that as he was engines and yours was airframe, they would have been in separate areas. He said there were about 200-300 in each of those, as well as other intakes. Unless you did band together or similar, didn't really mix.
@history99917180 Sorry to hear that, I'll ask him tomorrow. Dad was in for a few years but then left and went to work at RNAY Fleetlands in the machine shop and Test bench amongst others, working on helicopters.
@OldTimerMary@Alladdin1983 Everywhere, cities, towns and villages from over the years. Often seen whilst doing the daily shop and mostly respected. Also have them over most of the continents through the @CWGC . Sometimes you'll see memorials like this, a young WWII(2) Hurricane pilot who died local to me.
@FalklandsinUK A ship that survived Pearl Harbour, sunk by WWII (that's 2, not 11 π) era torpedoes from a nuclear sub. RIP to all those who didn't survive, but a necessary course of action due to the threat posed by her.
@BigBearF1 Dog biscuits in the indoor wendy house we had at primary school...we ate them. Climbing frames over concrete playgrounds, rough concrete block 'horses' alongside them. π
