@JoJArmy23@SkyNews@BethRigby Better still, the North isn't just Manchester as many appear to think. Geordies think people from Manchester are Southerners, and they are right.๐๐
@Chelsea40953727@BlickyIan The guy on the fin- no idea not normally done on a turnround. The guy on the tailplane I suspect is latching the brake chute cable into it's slot around the jet pipes. The suits were charcoal lined and were hot, however the respirator was the real killer especially in summer.
@BlickyIan@GavicWayne IIRC G/E fitted to aircraft was coloured red as easily seen to be removed before flight. Other G/E chocks etc painted yellow. Eventually ladders also painted yellow due to vehicles driving over them when off aircraft. Intake blanks and guards were left red.
@BlickyIan@gasgasbones Might be worthwhile contacting Slingsby Aviation. They were involved with the ladder for Typhoon and I think they were also involved with the Lightning ladder.

@BlickyIan@gasgasbones The problem is with both colourised photos the intake guard is not shown as red. Even in service all ground running guards including aux intakes and intake blanks were red in colour. The process hasn't picked this up.
@The_Monarch@Hush_Kit I must admit I prefer the unpainted aircraft as in your shot. The down side, we spent many hours polishing the display aircraft every new season. I should have bought shares in this stuff.
@Airfix Yes part of the ground handling team in the 80s when the BAE Mosquito flew in for the open day air display. Primed the engines on start and was very aware of those props too close for my comfort.
@WojtusciszynP@upthejunction28@SkyNews@BethRigby For the last time Starmer thinks he is guilty that is why he sacked him. I don't care.
I do think you are a prize prat who wastes people's time and that is why you are now blocked. Find someone else to troll.
