Right now I'm working on a major interface overhaul for @programstarship. I really want it to be as familiar as kerbal, but I just HAVE to make the bottom UI look like SpaceX Starship launch webcast, so I'm figuring out where to put UI elements around, and how to make it look consistent with the webcast UI aesthetics.

Luckly @UnrealEngine makes it really a breeze to work with UI in UMG.

I've been quietly building a game for the past few years. and today it finally goes out the door! 🚀

Until recently, I had no idea what shape it would take. It turned into Starship Space Program: a Kerbal-like flight sim for Starship and Super Heavy. You fly the hops, hot staging, the booster catch on the tower, and on to orbit, with real orbital physics. Starbase is built from lidar, so the pads and the tower are exactly where they really are. Catching the booster in the chopsticks yourself is as good as it sounds.

It's an early alpha, and that's the point: I want the people who love this stuff to shape what it becomes from here. Things will break. Tell me what does.

Top tiers get a Cybertruck, and a Roadster with cold-gas thrusters, to drive around Starbase.

Plan an orbit, or a transfer to the Moon or Mars, in the flight planner. Landings there come later.
