It was an awesome surprise today to come in and find Sam’s bench delivered to the courtyard. It was a gift from the 2021 graduating class. In the spring we’ll plant some perennials and make a cozy spot for kids who need some quiet time and sunshine. ❤️
@thenestrockhill opens with some setbacks, but it ended up being a positive place for all residents.

Because both men and women can be perpetrators of interpersonal violence, both should be knowledgeable about this issue and what they can prevent and stop the cycle of violence.
I’m extremely troubled by Stephen Moore’s comments. To describe VAWA as ‘the most objectionable pork’ is outrageous. VAWA has benefited women for 25 years and it remains a fundamental tool in the prevention of sexual assault. https://t.co/LAaSTCwdNs
In a 2014 article of Woman's Health it discussed the definition of intimate partner violence and how it affects the victims. The impact VAWA has made and how the rate of violence against women has decreased and with the protection victims have.

Ex: The saying “Rule of Thumb” comes from the old common law permitting husbands to ‘correct’ their wives with a whip no thicker than the width of their thumb- thus, giving it it’s name.

The passing of VAWA was revolutionary for all women because at one point in United States’ history, it was legal for men to chastise their wives for ‘disciplinary’ reasons. #DomesticAbuse#interpersonalviolence#violentcrime
The Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) Act, originally enacted in 1994, was one of the first peices of legislation combatting violent crimes against women by inplementing programs dedicated to research, prevention, and victim services. #DomesticAbuse#domesticviolence#crime
