Pulled a week of Polymarket off Polygon to see who actually trades there. 68,174 addresses, $310M of trader-to-trader volume between them.
The median address did $92 across 10 trades. That is the real user, risking pocket change on a handful of questions.
The top 100 addresses did 41% of everything, and they are not people with opinions. One took 72,220 fills across 9,159 different outcome tokens without posting a single quote. Another touched 11,680 tokens in seven days.
Nobody holds views on nine thousand questions. That is inventory management, and it is most of what the volume is.
Verdict: organic. The crowd is real, and one claim about the chain does not hold.
Every figure is reproducible from public records.

Hunter Biden published a forensic report on his $LAPTOP token and invited anyone to check it. Proof of Crowd did, independently and uncommissioned.
Verdict: organic.
The claim that no influencers were paid is consistent with the data.
None of this identifies who is behind any account, establishes motive, or proves nobody was paid. It measures what the chain and the crowd actually show.
Verdict: organic. The crowd is real, and one claim about the chain does not hold.

A month ago we launched $LAPTOP.
Within minutes, we had a chart that looked like every celebrity rug ever. Completely broken.
I promised you a full independent accounting. Here it is.
1/
Two signals do fire. Creator concentration sits at the 83rd percentile of its size band, repeated wording at the 98th.
Both resolve on inspection. One account holds 95.6% of interactions, and the duplicated text is people quoting the founder's own thread.
Score 23 out of 100. Organic.
Most tokens come back this way. The value of an audit is less about catching fraud than demonstrating its absence to someone who asked.

On the social side: zero repeated wording across accounts, and creator concentration above the median for its size band. That is the one figure worth pushing on and the only one elevated.
