🚨 The prop firm rumor machine is getting dangerous.

No, @FunderPro did NOT get fined by the CFTC.

What actually happened:

The CFTC announced a $2.5M settlement against Netrios LP Ltd. and Red Acre Ltd. for facilitating illegal off-exchange leveraged/margined retail commodity transactions involving U.S. customers.

Netrios was ordered to pay $1.75M.
Red Acre was ordered to pay $750K.
The issue was not “FunderPro got fined.”

The issue was that Netrios allegedly provided the white-label trading infrastructure: websites, trading software, margin accounts, liquidity/execution and back-office functions.

The CFTC said these offshore branded platforms allowed non-ECP U.S. customers to trade leveraged products like FX, metals and crypto outside a CFTC-registered exchange.

Red Acre’s role, according to the order, was customer support, CRM/onboarding, technical support and marketing services connected to those white-label entities.

Now, why is FunderPro being mentioned?

Because FunderPro has been publicly linked to Red Acre before. A 2023 launch article said FunderPro was “brought to market by Red Acre Group.”

That connection is worth discussing.

But there is a massive difference between:

“FunderPro was linked to Red Acre’s ecosystem”

and

“FunderPro was fined by the CFTC.”

The second statement is false based on the public CFTC release/order.

So yes, there may be legitimate group-level questions.

But spreading “FunderPro got fined” is misleading, lazy, and damages trust in the entire prop space.
