Many freelancers are struggling on fiverr because of their poor market research

Things that are directly responsible for gig ranking and profitability on fiverr

- Your title
- tags
- industry specifications when creating your gig (this is super important)
- the demands of your skills/services (many people are offering/selling what clients have overgrown due to emergence of new solutions or completely abandoned)

For your title, the smartest way is to start broadly. Enter your skills/services in the search bar and study the first 12 freelancers that show on the first page. Ignore those running ads since we only want to see organic results. Check their title (if they appear on the first page, it means the algo likes the combination. This is why people stack their titles with the ranking keywords.

Now, this is the most important aspect. Study the category of those sellers. Fiverr will always indicate their category. It could be “web development “, “app development” “web design” “no code” and the likes. Don’t be surprised people created their gigs under the “other” category

Another wise decision is to use FOMO in your title (I will write your entire website content in 7 days instead of “I will be your website content writer”). I will design your website may be too broad but “I will design your SaaS website in 5 days” will rank better

More often than not, buyers search fiverr with tools/software plus dream results when they make buying decisions. I think this is one underrated hack I’ve not seen used by sellers on the platform. In all, use the right tags, compound your offers (this is one way to make more money) and pray if you believe in prayer. All the best

Here’s a short, guide to use Claude for job hunting (works like magic):

1. Upload your CV → Ask: “Rewrite this CV for a [specific role] at [company/industry]. Make it ATS-friendly, highlight achievements with metrics, and keep it 1 page.”
