@ledxrp @MikeNardolillo Guess it comes down to what are the best use cases for XRP. If it's secure, which I think a simple off-ledger system could be, then there might be little value doing it a more complicated way on-ledger. Ultimate value seems to be making it easier to remember wallet addresses.
Provenance X was donated to the community by a small independent Canadian company with #BigIdeas who decided to #BUIDL instead of simply #HODL. We’re open to collaborate with anyone interested in improving matters of provenance using the digital asset #XRP public ledger.
@ledxrp @MikeNardolillo One of the possible issues with this method is that the public information associated with that domain can now be associated with your wallet address. But that could be mitigated by making your domain registration private if that's an issue for some.
6/6
@ledxrp @MikeNardolillo 1. Enter domain name for address and hit create key
2. Copy and paste key into domain TXT record
Client code would use signature to verify key domain came from the wallet owner.
When making a purchase enter https://t.co/lLYGO8lsP0 and get the wallet address auto populated.
5/6
@ledxrp @MikeNardolillo To ensure no tampering of the xrp=addresspair in the TXT record (by the host or over network) a signature would be needed as well, so xrp=addresspair SIGNATURE-DATA;
Relatively simple two step process if integrated into wallets (possibly implemented in the ripple-api?).
4/6
@ledxrp @MikeNardolillo This would allow for:
- simple open standard
- integration into ANY wallet
- use ANY domain name you control (not just .xrp or .ens domain, and no multisig signers)
- decentralized due to the nature of DNS
- usable by ANY coin or token network for their "wallet domains"
3/6
@ledxrp @MikeNardolillo But I wouldn't suggest doing any of that. Instead I would use the already decentralized DNS by adding an xrp=r_or_x_address_here+signature; key/value pair to a TXT record and then create a simple javascript that can query for the info (possibly using Google's public DNS api).
2/6
@ledxrp @MikeNardolillo That's a creative idea. It could be possible with a distrubuted oracle (codius?) that runs alongside the xrp ledger. An oracle would be needed to keep the performance reasonable and to manage the smart contract functionality that isn't native to XRP (unlike Ethereum).

Provenance X wants your help with changing the regulatory system. Where necessary, create your UPC, and add that UPC to your PX code data. By affixing both to your product you set the groundwork for a better, faster, cheaper system as we work for transition to a new standard.
Product codes can cost a small business $300+ just to get one due to required bulk purchase and membership. PX is just $6+.

UPC codes can cost as much as $50 per code*. Now imagine only having to pay a fraction of a cent. That's what Provenance X could do for business as a standard. Learn more at https://t.co/YHkk1IuMHS

We’ve signed our first LOI with publicly traded company Preferred Dental Technologies Inc. (CSE: PDTI). PDTI to adopt the $XRP ledger, via Provenance X, for the tracking of 3D printed dental components.

@TeholBeddictXRP We've pledged a good governance model to make sure 100% of all fees from product codes are used to ensure the health and stability of the network with new XRPL full history, sharded and validator nodes. 2/2
Provenance X is available for use worldwide. Ask us, or try it out on the test network for your business. Going to production is just as easy using our existing live site, or host your own using the open source code at: https://t.co/qNO29zrFHm

@TeholBeddictXRP No, not at all. That's a great question. Fastest transactions, lowest cost, decentralized, the list goes on for why $XRP is amazing. One of the first things we considered is the impact Provenance X might have. 1/2
How many new and existing products are there? A lot! 250,000+ new per year according to Forbes. Provenance X uses the digital asset $XRP to help solve issues with speed, cost, complexity and counterparty risk.
