one of the interesting modern realities is that once virtually every household supplied two workers to the workforce the relative economic advantage of having two incomes pretty much disappeared & every scarce good like housing simply went up in price.

not to mention so many other second & third order effects of this.

Have you ever stopped to think about how many people casually use the F-word? Even those who claim to value marriage, the nuclear family, and chastity.

Have you ever asked yourself what that normalization has done to the way we view sex?

Words matter.

When something as intimate and sacred as the marital act is reduced to a four letter swear word, we shouldn’t be surprised when society gradually stops treating sex itself as something worthy of reverence.

You cannot continually strip something of its dignity in your language and expect society to preserve its dignity in reality.

Sex is sacred. And God designed it to belong within the covenant of marriage, where husband and wife give themselves to one another completely and faithfully.

Maybe reclaiming the sanctity of marriage starts with something as simple as reclaiming the way we speak about it.

Because what we treat as sacred in our words, we are far more likely to protect in our lives.

@Xtopher_Uzo hopefully the Pope says "no" to serious people more often and this is a starting point (I understand SSPX but he'd better extend the same no to the more liberal side as well)
