CJI's Remarks:

On the Lawyer’s Argument:
"By blaming the entire caste system on Brahmins, you have dissolved hatred into society. Did Brahmins create the castes within Muslims as well? Are the castes among Christians also the contribution of Brahmins? Did Brahmins create the castes in Buddhism, Sikhism, and Jainism? If Brahminical castes are such a problem, then drop your caste name today! (#SupremeCourt) Who is stopping you? Who is forcing you to use a caste name?"
While Granting the Stay:
"If a community chooses to keep viewing itself as 'oppressed' even after reaching positions like IAS, IPS, CJI, President, or PM, then the fault lies not with Brahmins, but with their own mindset."
It was an extraordinary scene in court; the faces of the advocates and their supporters turned pale.
4201 new PG seats approved.
Sounds great on paper.
But on ground? It’s a ticking time bomb.
How does increasing seats magically fix:
• scarcity of jobs after PG
• Mass underpayment
• Contractual exploitation
• Residents working 100+ hour weeks
• Branches already overflowing with unemployed specialists
Instead of creating more doctors, why not create more jobs, better pay, and actual workforce planning?
This isn’t expansion.
This is inflation of degrees without infrastructure.
A country that keeps adding seats without fixing the system is setting up an entire generation of doctors to fail.
We need solutions.
Not headlines.

Better academics,No reservation, Unbiased examination system.. passing maybe tough but you will prepare accordingly..edge on super speciality entrance,and in other terms also it is at par with MD/MS.so Go for DNB from good institution than MD/MS
If a software engineer in Bangalore earns an annual package of ₹50 LPA, over the last five years, they would have paid approximately ₹30 lakhs in income tax.
Now, if they lose their job due to sudden layoffs, they receive nothing no freebies, no subsidies until they find another job.
In many developed countries, taxpayers have access to Social Security: if someone loses their job, they receive financial support or unemployment benefits until they are employed again.
India, despite being a large socialist-leaning nation, provides little to nothing for those who pay taxes.
Instead, the government continues distributing free electricity, water, bus travel, or schemes like Ladli Bahen, benefiting those who don’t contribute as much in taxes.
Sad reality of India.
In India:
Pay 30% tax and get zero benefits.
Pay 0% tax
And get free ration, LPG subsidy, Free electricity, Free water, Free bus rides and thousands of rupees monthly allowance etc.
Paying 30% taxes in India feels more like a punishment than a responsibility.

Amazon is laying off 14,000 employees, including in India, as AI takes over their roles.
The cruel part is how fragile private sector “stability” is. You get a job, start earning, feel settled, plan a future, buy a house on EMI, and one fine morning the company decides to “downsize”. Suddenly, you’re jobless. If a new job doesn’t come quickly, those EMIs can destroy your peace and your life.
And the govt! While you earn, you must pay taxes. The moment you lose your job, you’re on your own. Farmers get compensation when crops fail, despite many paying zero income tax, but a taxpayer losing his job gets practically nothing.
Maybe it's time to introduce reforms like make EMI pauses for few months more liberal for those who lose their jobs, and providing a time-bound monthly allowance for few months from the govt, except for disciplinary cases of course. Ladla/Ladlis can get free money, free ration, free water and electricity, so why not support a worker who has been paying taxes and contributing?

@DoctorKhurana According to point no.1.1,in order to avail institutional preference, IP 1 candidate should have obtained minimum of Fourth UR rank.if he/she doesn't than UR 4 will avail that point.this is in contrast to JIPMER roster where there is no such requirement to Avail institute quota.
