They produce bigger parts, but if a part has a defect in a non-critical area, they just disable that section and sell it as a lower-tier model. You can actually see this when comparing parts "benchmarks".
@rflaherty71 I actually did the same, but I found a bug in their nvme controller implementation that would break my tests. I wonder if they fixed it. I "patched" it, but it is not a full fix, because it is a design flaw.
