Woke is like those smoldering embers they didn’t put out in the Palisades fire. They’re going to pop off again with some strong winds and burn everything down.
Summer wildflowers bring vibrant color to Beartooth Pass in Montana.
Enjoy the view and have a great weekend!

My most unhinged thought on my faith lately —
Unbelievers talk about “karma” and how they can come to peace with wrongs done to them because “karma” will pay back their offender. You know, what goes around comes around, and all that.
😆😆is this the moment where I burst their bubble and tell them I don’t believe “karma” will repay anyone who has done me evil? Actually….what I believe is far worse than that.
It’s no problem for me feel peace about leaving vengeance to the Lord….
The vengeance I’m waiting on? Its eternal, conscious torment by the most powerful Being that created all things. Far worse than any vague idea of whatever “karma” is. 💀
Oh and actually since I’m a Christian I’d prefer my enemies escape this fate worse than death via repentance and faith….
“The flag was still there.”
Long before it flew at ballgames and front porches across America, the flag flying over Fort McHenry National Monument and Historic Shrine became a symbol of survival during the War of 1812.
After enduring hours of British bombardment, the fort’s enormous flag remained standing at sunrise, inspiring “The Star-Spangled Banner.”
This Flag Day, we honor the history, sacrifice, and stories behind the stars and stripes. 🇺🇸

One day every one of us will stand before a holy God. You won't need advice—you'll need an Advocate.
In Jesus you get both: a Priest who removes your guilt and a King who leads your life. #FocalPointMinistries#MikeFabarez
One of my favorite sentences in the 1689 is ch. 2 par. 2: God does not derive any glory from creatures, but only manifests his own glory in, by, unto, and upon them.
On our best days the most we can ever be is a jar of clay.
The glory always belongs to God. Did. Does. Always.
Fact checkers continue to rate satire false, treating it like misinformation. They're so humorless, so committed to policing narratives, that they struggle to distinguish between jokes (which aren't meant to be believed) and lies (which are). There's a joke in there somewhere.
"The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise." — Psalm 51:17. Real faith starts with honest repentance. Everything else flows from there.
When someone tells you black is white what they are really doing is threatening you. They're confronting you w/ the prospect of having to
oppose someone for whom the truth means nothing at all & who values only power. For ordinary people this is an intimidating prospect indeed.
What I’m about to say should be said by the governor, the state attorney general, and the mayor of St. Paul, but they’ve created a crisis and remain silent.
Minnesotans: please respect people’s right to peaceful religious gatherings. This goes for mosques, cathedrals, temples, and churches — every kind of person. Do not invade their place of worship, and do not harass people on their way to worship. Leave them alone.
Claiming that scripture requires you not to speak sharply to people who film unboxing videos of their child’s down syndrome test, who then proudly announce that they have now murdered that child because of said disability (and all of this monetized) is some kind of demented, unbiblical version of Christianity I don’t even have words.
Should we not speak sharply to the rapist then? How about the pedophile? Is it fair to sharply condemn their acts to them?
Yes, I want all of those people to come to Christ. But do you think that happens by letting them think that what they did wasn’t all that bad?
Is this how you witness to other people? Tell them that they’re pretty good, but a little Jesus will make them even better?
Repentance isn't a one-time event at conversion.
It becomes an ongoing rhythm. The more God shapes you, the more aware of sin you become — and the more eager to turn from it.
The clearest evidence of real faith isn't perfection. It's repentance.
I never know how to answer when a barista asks me, “and what’s a good name for you?”
“A *good* name? I know only the one I bear, the one my mother gave me. But a good name—a true name—what man can speak the true name of the smallest leaf or bird, much less himself? I am told that each of us will be given a stone on the last day, and on it shall be etched a name that only we and God shall know. Until then, who can claim to know himself rightly enough to speak the name he deserves! Would we like it if we could? You may call me wanderer, for I was lost, or homeward bound, for that I am. You may call me—“
