ICAI representatives say it's the business's responsibility to request a tax audit due date extension. By the same logic, ICAI presents budget expectations to the government every year. Why? It should be the business's sole responsibility to do that!

@IncomeTaxIndia
We sincerely request CBDT to extend the Tax Audit Report due date from 30th Sept to 31st Oct 2026. Considering the practical difficulties faced by tax professionals and taxpayers, a timely extension will help. #ExtendTaxAuditDueDate@FinMinIndia
Dear Chartered Accountants,
I know you are trying your best. But sorry to say - even your best may not be enough this time.
You have been robbed of valuable working days by the new compliance calendar.
Shifting the non-audit ITR due date was a good decision for non-audit taxpayers. But the other side cannot be ignored.
Tax audit professionals have effectively lost around 31 days this year.
And these 30 days are not 30 full working days.
The first few days go into getting back into the tax-audit rhythm. Festivals take away some working days. And many professionals may have genuine health or family commitments.
Then comes the reality of Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities.
Unskilled or insufficient accounting staff.
Clients busy with their own businesses.
Delayed data.
Incomplete records.
Constant follow-ups.
And clients who sometimes underestimate the time required for a proper audit.
This ground reality cannot be understood merely by looking at a compliance calendar.
Demanding reasonable additional time is not wrong.
It does not mean CAs are incapable of completing their work.
It means that quality professional work requires adequate and reasonable time.
And we should not have to fight this battle every year.
Two things are needed:
Immediate relief:
Give reasonable additional time for the current year's tax audits.
Permanent solution:
Shift the tax audit due date to 31 October permanently and maintain a reasonable gap between the non-audit ITR and tax audit deadlines.
A compliance calendar should work for the profession - not make the profession work against an unrealistic calendar.
Don't suffer in silence.
Speak for what is right.

A very relevant message from CCM @CASatishKGupta, Jaipur👇
At this testing time, it is heartening to see him stand firmly with members and make sincere efforts for relief even in another capacity (where @theicai may have its limitations)
@RajasthanTax is also preparing to explore the Writ option. RTCA has already formally sought extension of the Tax Audit due date from 30 September to 31 October 2026.

Tax Bar Association, Bhilwara seeks extension of Tax Audit Reports and Forms 10B/10BB due date for AY 2026-27 from 30 Sept to 31 Oct 2026, citing delayed ITR utilities, increased reporting and limited audit time. https://t.co/7NHw4sWeL2
In view of request of number of members, RTCA @RajasthanTax has represented to hon'ble Union Finance Minister, Hon'ble Chairman CBDT & Hon'ble PCCIT, Rajasthan for extension of due date for #TAR from 30.09.26 to 31.10.26 by one month
Tax Audit due date must be extended to 31.10.2026.
TAR extension is not a demand for more time but it's for quality compliances.
Quality audit is not possible outside date extension.
Aur ITR file hue bina Tax Audit ka kya hi benefit h department ko✅🫡

Retweet For Support
Tax Audit due date should be PERMANENTLY moved to 31st Oct.
No revenue loss to govt , taxes are paid via advance tax/self-assessment regardless.
Just end the yearly extension cycle. #TaxAudit#ICAI#CBDT@IncomeTaxIndia

Nonsense Notices in ASMT-10 started coming
GSTR 1 & 3B is exactly matching with point to point and they have sent notice in ASMT 10 to explain the difference
Complte Nonsense, Waste of Time, Energy and resources.
Literally Harassment!
@cbic_india@Infosys_GSTN@nsitharaman
After intro of GSTR-2B, GST Notices for basic mismatch of 3B Vs 2A & 3B Vs 1 differences have radically stopped.
Now officers are issuing notices asking to deposit 1% cash tax in terms of rule 86B without checking their applicability itself.
Motive is just to achieve the Target
Finally MCA extended the deadline to 31st Jan 2026 !!
Waiting for GSTR-9/9C & Belated ITR due date extentions.
Request @FinMinIndia for this very genuine demand of the fraternity !!
Saal ka aakhiri din.
Kal New Year hain.
Hum aaj bhi filing filing khel rahe hain.

Permanently change ho.
Belated ITR 31 March
GSTR 9/9C 31 January
Thodi toh akal lagaiye..
