We take note with regret of President Zelenskyy’s remarks in Belgrade reaffirming Ukraine’s non-recognition of the Republic of Kosova.

Since the first day of Russia’s full-scale aggression, Kosova has stood unequivocally with Ukraine. We condemned the invasion, fully aligned with CFSP, imposed sanctions against Russia and Belarus, provided humanitarian assistance and refuge for Ukrainian journalists, and contributed military assistance and training in support of Ukraine’s defence. We did so despite Ukraine’s non-recognition of our state, because solidarity with a people defending its freedom, sovereignty and territorial integrity is a matter of principle.

It is equally important to recall a clear distinction: while Kosova has imposed sanctions against Russia, Serbia has not aligned with the EU sanctions imposed in response to Russia’s war of aggression against Ukraine.

The Republic of Kosova is a sovereign and independent state, born from the struggle of its people for freedom and from their liberation in 1999 after years of systematic repression and the genocidal campaign of the Milosevic regime. What followed was not an act of annexation, occupation or territorial conquest, but a comprehensive international process under United Nations administration and years of internationally mediated negotiations on Kosova’s final status. When those negotiations had exhausted every possibility for an agreed settlement, UN Special Envoy Martti Ahtisaari recommended independence as Kosova’s final status and presented a comprehensive framework for the new state, including some of the most extensive constitutional guarantees for non-majority communities in Europe. Kosova declared its independence on 17 February 2008 as the culmination of this political and historical process, assumed its responsibilities as a democratic and multiethnic state, and entered a period of internationally supervised independence. In 2010, the International Court of Justice confirmed that Kosova’s declaration of independence did not violate international law, while international supervision formally concluded in 2012. Today, the Republic of Kosova is recognized by the overwhelming majority of NATO and EU member states and has built its statehood firmly on the principles of democracy, human rights, peace and Euro-Atlantic integration.

For precisely these reasons, Russia’s attempts to invoke Kosova as a precedent or justification for its invasion, occupation or attempted annexation of Ukrainian territory are historically and legally false. No such parallel exists.

Kosova remains steadfast in its support for Ukraine’s sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity. At the same time, we respectfully but firmly reject any framing of the Republic of Kosova through the prism of Serbia’s territorial integrity.

We would welcome Ukraine’s recognition of the Republic of Kosova. Such a decision would strengthen the very principles of freedom, democracy and international law that Ukraine itself is defending today.

How To Properly Repent

Most people think repentance means drowning in guilt, replaying their failures, and hoping shame proves they're sorry.

But Scripture never teaches that guilt transforms you.

"You will know the truth, and the truth will set you free." (John 8:32)

Repentance isn't emotional self-punishment.
It is awakened consciousness that leads to transformation.

Shame keeps your eyes on the past.
True repentance turns your eyes toward Christ and the person you are becoming.

Here's the real path:

1) Recognize the deed.

Don't justify it. Don't exaggerate it.
Simply stand before the truth:

"I did this."

"Against You, You only, have I sinned..." (Psalm 51:4)
"Come now, let us reason together, says the Lord." (Isaiah 1:18)

Repentance begins with honesty, not self-hatred.

2. Observe the inner process.

Ask yourself:

- What was I thinking?
- What was I feeling?
- What impulse moved my will?

This is how you illuminate the roots of the action.

"Watch and pray, that you may not enter into temptation." (Matthew 26:41)

3. Identify where consciousness was absent.

Where were you asleep?
Where did habit, fear, desire, or anger replace your higher judgment?

"Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do." (Luke 23:34)

Most sin is done unconscious.
Repentance is waking up.

4. Extract the lesson.

Every failure contains a seed of future strength.

Ask:

"What is God trying to cultivate in me through this?"

"We know that all things work together for good for those who love God." (Romans 8:28)

Repentance turns mistakes into wisdom.

5. Pray

Thank God for revealing the truth.
Ask forgiveness.
Ask for a clean heart.
Ask for strength to become someone greater than yesterday.

"Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me." (Psalm 51:10)

Prayer completes the inner shift.

6. Make a conscious decision for the future.

Repentance is incomplete until your will changes.

Decide exactly how you will act when the same temptation returns.

"Bear fruits worthy of repentance." (Luke 3:8)
"Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand." (Matthew 4:17)

Repentance is not just insight — it is new action.

7. Release the past.

Once the lesson is learned, stop carrying what Christ has forgiven.
Don't build an identity around yesterday's mistake.

"Their sins and lawless deeds I will remember no more." (Hebrews 8:12)

Let go. God already has.

8. Move forward with joy.

God does not call you to live under endless condemnation.
He calls you to new life.

"There is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus." (Romans 8:1)
"That My joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be full." (John 15:11)

Repentance is not becoming smaller.
It is becoming more awake.

Not weakening your soul through endless regret,
but strengthening your mind, heart, and will through truth, prayer, and renewed action.

Every sincere repentance is another step toward becoming the person God created you to be.
