A point to consider before Trump's speech about foreign interference in US elections is that our own intel community notes a key component of foreign interference is to do things that the undermine "public confidence in the electoral process"—which Trump will do in this speech
@0megalvl3vent@krassenstein Correct—controlling Congress doesn’t guarantee passage. But blaming others for “interfering” is weak when your party controls the House, Senate and presidency. Which specific bill was blocked, and by whom?
@0megalvl3vent@krassenstein Most of that list has nothing to do with legislation. And Republicans control Congress anyway. So who exactly is “interfering”?
@ruthbenghiat Meanwhile in his District: Poverty Rate: 18.2% of the population lives below the poverty line, well above the national average of 12.5%.Child Poverty: About 25.1% of children in the district live in poverty, which is higher than the national average. But sure, more bombs!

@DecodingFoxNews I am trying to say this in the most diplomatic way possible that doesnt actively hide the truth: It is impossible to overstate how stupid you have to be to have ever believed that Trump was qualified to be President.
Fascinating interview. Aaron’s right, the hosts came prepared with follow-ups. Rare to see the VP challenged like this and so crazy it’s on a daytime show and not an actual news/Sunday show.
I’m glad @ananavarro mentioned the stat about all but three refugees being allowed in being white South Africans.
Trump, though, was the elephant in the room. I’d have liked to have seen some Qs forcing Vance to justify Trump’s unjustifiable rhetoric and behavior: eg him calling all Somalis ‘garbage’ and criminals.
@DecodingFoxNews I got away with it. The question inside Trump’s White House isn’t whether it is legal or a benefit to citizens—it is whether they can get away with it.
