Good morning and Happy Saturday to every9one who agrees that Pete Hegseth must be REMOVED as Defense Secretary for failing miserably at his job, for the Iran War debacle to the US Navy sailors stuck on ships indefinitely.
Our sailors deserve better.
It's unforgivable.
America, holy hell this is so damn corrupt. Even Trumpists have to see this. We are way past historic and unprecedented corruption. This is a criminal organization masquerading as an administration. And they are destroying us
"The Navy is a capable organization. Its budget is $300b . It is capable of resupplying an aircraft carrier...If the people in charge are using up sailors as carelessly as they are using up munitions, it’s because they don’t care enough to do otherwise."

8/15/73: UFW honors Nagi Daifallah, 24 yr old grape striker from Yemen who was brutally clubbed to death by a Kern Co. sheriff's deputy in the farm town of Lamont, CA during the UFW's '73 grape strike. Nagi was the 2nd UFW martyr who lost their lives during union strikes.
“I totally support a secure border in Big Bend, but this is the least active place in the country for illegal border crossings,” he said. “This is purely political, and it will, it risks destroying one of the nation’s greatest places. It’s just horrible.”

“They’re intimidated by Ukraine….
They’re intimidated by courage & by democracy…. They’re intimidated by people who take risks.
Trump administration thinks that everybody is a coward, that all you have to do is scare people or frighten them.
Because it would work on them.”👇🏻
SNYDER: Trump administration doesn’t know anything about how wars are fought, or anything about wars at all.
They also don’t understand anything about modern war. They’ve chosen not to pay attention to Ukraine.
They’re intimidated by Ukraine. They’re intimidated by the fact that people actually can fight a real war.
They’re intimidated by courage and by democracy, I think. They’re intimidated by people who take risks.
Trump administration thinks that everybody is a coward, that all you have to do is scare people or frighten them.
Because it would work on them. Like if they were mildly inconvenienced, they’d sell out immediately.
They can’t imagine people would react in any other way than immediately giving in, that’s what Trump people do.
Side effect of all of that has been that they haven’t really followed how war has changed in the last five years.
It’s wrong premise to think you can win wars with missiles, like Trump people thought when they went after Iran.
That doesn’t happen. But also, fighting wars with munitions that you then can’t remake immediately is antiquated.
“The rules that catch dirty money & force transparency are being relaxed for the powerful & connected. It’s now easier for Trump & his friends to hide ownership & move cash without anyone seeing. This admin & the wealthy… just got more ways to do it with less oversight.”
If you haven’t been paying attention, you fucking should be. Follow the money and connect the goddamn dots.
🚨 Trump’s family just got the green light for their own bank. 🚨
Their crypto outfit, World Liberty Financial (partly owned by Trump and his sons), just received conditional approval to operate as a national trust bank. That means they can now issue and control their own digital dollar (the USD1 stablecoin) with official banking status.
The regulator who signed off answers to Trump. The family has already raked in hundreds of millions from this company—including big secret deals with foreign investors—while pocketing presidential bribes.
At the exact same time they’re getting banking powers, the Trump administration is wiping the one federal database that forced companies to name their real owners. That database was how law enforcement tracked shell companies, money laundering, and hidden cash. Now it’s being deleted for US companies—a perfect fucking gift to Trump and his family, because no one can force them to show who’s actually running money through their new “bank.”
In plain English—The rules that catch dirty money and force transparency are being relaxed for the powerful and connected. It’s now easier for Trump and his friends to hide ownership and move cash without anyone seeing. This administration and the wealthy already making a killing off the presidency just got more ways to do it with less oversight.
Trump sold access. He sold crypto tokens. Now he’s getting a bank and erasing the paper trail that could prove where the money comes from.
This isn’t subtle. This isn’t “politics as usual.” This is a sitting president handing his own family a licensed money moving machine while simultaneously shredding the transparency tools that could expose it.
Trump is—and will probably forever be—the most corrupt fucking president in American history. 🖕🏻
Yup!
“It's infuriating that they're not taking accountability & not having any sort of sympathy for our service members that they they claim that they support when it's politically… sound for them—until our troops need support. And now suddenly everyone's lying.”
🤥
Wife of US Service Member on Lincoln reacts to Trump’s statement: I don't think the man thinks before he talks. Take some accountability for what's going on with your military, your ships, and your war.
We heard Hegseth and the president essentially saying that families are lying and service members are lying, even though the proof is right here on my phone.
It's infuriating that they're not taking accountability and not having any sort of sympathy for our service members that they they claim that they support when it's politically, you know, sound for them—until our troops need support. And now suddenly everyone's lying.
I so badly would love to plaster my face and blow the whistle so loud on social media with my name and be like, this is real. But unfortunately, I have to protect my husband's career
Rene harvests lettuce and is very worried about meeting his expenses. "They cut our pay and our hours. What we used to do for piece rate in 7 or 8 hrs, we now do in 5 or 6 hrs. Most of the time we're paid by the hour we don't have the chance to speed up to earn extra." #WeFeedYou

91 years ago today, Franklin Roosevelt signed the Social Security Act into law.
The country was still clawing its way out of the Great Depression, and the idea was pretty simple.
Growing old shouldn’t mean going broke.
Today, over 70 million Americans receive Social Security benefits.
But here’s the real sad part of this anniversary.
The program’s trustees project that its retirement trust fund will be depleted in late 2032.
That’s six years away.
Social Security has survived for 91 years, through wars, recessions and generations of Americans depending on it.
Preserving it shouldn’t be partisan.
It should be basic governing responsibility.
Happy 91st, Social Security.
Here’s hoping we’re still capable of thinking 92 birthdays ahead.
