What’s worse than the idea of taking care of a 40 year-old when you’re in your 70s is the idea of standing before Jesus Christ after you die and having to atone for the fact that you unrepentantly conducted premeditated murder on one of your God-given children in the name of more free time and fun in your old age.

Everyone who’s sympathetic to the idea of doing such a thing simply doesn’t believe they will meet their maker at the end of their life, so they opt into the hedonistic option of doing what feels good and running from what doesn’t feel good. That’s the core issue at the heart of this whole debate.

There is probably a correlation between morality and sense of humor.

Larry Niven once theorized that humor is associated with an interrupted defense mechanism.

The idea is that you have a situation presented to you which would normally trigger a defensive response, but when you realize it is actually harmless, the response that you experience as laughter or amusement is your brain's way of derailing that inappropriate defense mechanism.

Because it isn't appropriate to fight or run away from harmless things.

This mechanism become easy to see when you look at very simple or developing senses of humor. To a baby, unexpected + safe = comedy gold.

And my cat Dante's favorite joke is "I BITE your toes! ... but actually, I don't bite them! I just lick them by surprise, watch you jump, then run away mewing and looking pleased with myself!"

Humor can become quite sophisticated, but I've never yet seen anything funny that couldn't be understood this way.

But there's a certain type of evil person who is evil precisely because they don't interrupt defense mechanisms.

They fight harmless things. Even beneficial ones. And they give you long lectures about how the harmless or even the wonderful thing is ackshually super-problematic.

This is the visible symptom of a form of neurotic hypervigilance which can, and often does, progress to the point of simply lashing out, figuratively or even literally, at random parts of the environment, because the brain has constructed some narrative whereby it's a threat.

The humor response is our natural way of not doing this.

Britain had a moment of silence for George Floyd. Our politicians kneeled en masse to show their outrage at his killing. "I can't breathe" became a slogan.

George Floyd died on the other side of the world. He wasn't British.

Henry Nowak *was* British and his treatment by the police was shocking and negligent in the extreme. Yet there is no minute of silence. There is no coordinated public campaign. There is no kneeling at sporting events.

And we all know why.

During the summer of BLM, some people said "All Lives Matter". This was treated as the highest form of racism and anyone who said this was immediately cancelled. Why? Because the people in charge don't actually think all lives matter in the same way.

They have created a racial hierarchy of victimhood where a career criminal who died through mistreatment by police in a foreign country with 0 evidence of racism like George Floyd is automatically sanctified because of the colour of his skin.

And Henry Nowak, a British man, one of ours, is automatically dismissed and ignored because of the colour of his.

This is the ugly fruit of so-called "anti-racism", an obsession with race that has created a two-tier society which treats people differently because of the colour of their skin.

This needs to stop.

Fair enough! I am just a random person on the internet!

I’m open to being wrong. I just don’t think it’s helpful to definitively place blame on a specific group of people without some sort of valid reason. There are many ops running, including the Muslim fear mongering. Not downplaying their seriousness of radical Islam, but I grew up under the Bush admin and was constantly steeped in anti-Muslim propaganda.

Both sides have a reason to get you to hate or even just distrust the other.

Fundamentalism of any flavor leads to the sickest savagery around the globe. Not just Islam. Though I will concede that currently it is incredibly concerning the rate at which fundamentalist Islamic ideology is spreading through Europe. It’s definitely not organic but I’m not convinced it’s all Muslims at the top that are driving it. There is an anti-white/anti-Western undercurrent and I can’t quite put my finger on what/who is driving it.

I just think the hype around Muslims is just as much of a psyop as the hype around Jews. Both sides have benefit from making people afraid of the other.

Yeah I’ve started to notice in some of the replies. I understand the concern. There are so many psyops happening at once and I have to admit I’m starting to lean towards the idea that the legitimate criticism of the state of Israel is being weaponized into a quasi antisemitism.

The 2 things don’t equate in my mind but I can see how there could be a real problem of people getting sucked into a dark rabbit hole and begin blaming regular Jews for all the worlds problems. It’s retarded, but some people don’t know that’s it’s retarded and you are trying to look out for them. And I guess I’ve been being kind of retarded for not seeing it sooner lol
