@0xQuasark That’s what the Psynautics Institute was created for! DMT is a vehicle for exploration, an observational agent, one “point on an informational grid… and it is when you connect all points that a reasonably applicable model [of reality] begins to appear.” -McKenna
We are (slowly) building a platform to collect and match insights across independent observers to build an extended model of reality. DM if interested in joining our team.
Breaking down our analysis of altered states of consciousness (ASC) and effort to empirically test “mind-manifesting” effects…🧵

Hallucination or observation? “Spinning furiously and gaining momentum down a gaudy plastic colored vortex right into some grotesquely ironic inner dimension at the core of matter, time, space and thought…”
Microdosing and heart health: 5-HT2B or not to be? “Together, these data provide no evidence of cardiovascular risk associated with prolonged administration of low-dose LSD in mice.”

@alexgreycosm The beautiful thing about this is that the level of entropy in our brain is used as a measure of our consciousness - suggesting that these opposing forces, like yin and yang, on a more fundamental level of being, are equals.
Update: We now have an IRB-approved protocol to advance the neuroscience of microdosing vs. other mental health treatments in partnership with @InteraXon
The work is funded by participants who receive a study kit with EEG headband and a data report at completion.
Thanks all!
@algekalipso@conormurray @bhargavvader We just submitted this paper after adding 5-MeO, float tank, and deliriant drug reports, so some new figures and conclusions drawn. Fingers crossed its accepted and hope you enjoy the read!
Excited this paper from my postdoc at UChicago is out! “Microdoses” of LSD increase complexity, but not other drugs, even at doses that induce altered states (AS). AS was instead related to ⬇️ alpha. How might changes in entropy vs alpha predict outcomes?

Researchers are getting better at using neuroimaging and AI to "read the mind's" language. Using similar approaches, we aim to reconstruct the ineffable. https://t.co/aklSisOJXe
