@KingBobIIV Sat on the beach in Spain last week guy on phone to UC (taking loudly enough to hear and on speaker) asking when his journal was going to be updated and money going in as he has none- couldn’t work due to stroke last year - had enough to be sitting on a lounger on holiday though

@CraigxMitch Son is on his way back got let off an hr and half early - some employers still understand the importance of it working both ways he knows he will get it back when he needs it - for some it’s impossible but those who can it’s worth it in long run

@rattlecans I had to do the same for mum - apparently the jury service selection doesn’t know how old anyone is so you just need to ring up and they will take her off the list

@grandvistaview @TheBritLad Unfortunately it’s not a 24 hr full police station the nearest one is in Guildford 40 mins drive away as we border London on 3 sides of the borough but come under Surrey that’s the one they deem as our nearest

@TACJ It’s 6.85 at London Bridge and 5.40 in Epsom - it’s what my husband orders and still a good deal compared to a pint in nearby other pubs - it’s like they make the prices up - must cost a fortune to print for each area the bar menus

@Elizabe13014545 My mums on the old one so no pension credit my dad who died private pension puts her just above so she has to pay for teeth glasses etc yet her rent and care is more than she gets in every month - every mth she is closer to being in the workhouse if there was one

@JamesMelville Add into the mix Mum has dementia who can’t pay cash in most places has a special dementia debit card which still requires a pin every 5th transaction and struggles to buy a coffee or their shopping as carers are not meant to have the pin

@ejames500 Orchid hotel Epsom ceased to house asylum seekers a year ago the pub that owns the lease/land made them put it back to a normal hotel - was all families no trouble - now back as hotel for trade’s and gen pub who use the pub after work etc they were loosing too much money -
