@edannunziata@EccoDolphinGame Loved how the modular sprite concept started in Cyborg Justice on the Genesis evolved here. Its one of these memorable 2D / 3D hodgepodge spectacles on the Saturn.
@007GameIOI This game is a closer realization of the ambitious genre-blending that Headhunter on Dreamcast attempted with mixed results due to budget / design limitations.
While not flawless, there is a solid foundation here.
Congratulations on the game's success.
@fuji_kanna8 Loved how you captured those fleeting but intense moments. It felt like a beautiful rebirth for both you and your co-star. The world’s saturation rising was so vivid. Very Pluto in Scorpio energy.
@falco_girgis The lighting in Gael Force has a beautiful Sega Saturn-style additive glow — those colored spell effects feel really vibrant and atmospheric.
@LauraLoomer@MartyTheElder Fair critique, Laura. At the same time, I couldn't stop hearing the Halo choir theme while reading this—his music is legendary. Still, the past comments and audio are worth scrutinizing in a primary.
@SchmanthonyP Just floating an idea for a special themed episode outside the usual format -
2000s Raunchy comedies tour - films that would never be green lit today -
Movies
2001 Freddy Got Fingered
2002 40 Days and 40 Nights
2002 Van Wilder
2002 Sorority Boys
@SonicOfficialJP Most freeform controls for Sonic and friends in 3D.
Aesthetics were mind-blowing in late 1998 and still pop today.
The passion and ambition for this post launch game cannot be understated.
A hot mess in the most endearing way possible.
@falco_girgis@GIMP_Official Huge boon for Dreamcast homebrew development. Surprised there was no accessible OSS solution for viewing / modifying PVR texture files given the ubiquity of the format in iOS games from its inception to the mid 2010s.
@aaaaahhhh111@Sora_Sakurai At the surface, it looks like a Mario Kart or F-Zero game with Kirby IP. But deeper, the motion is effortless and joyous which Nights into Dreams delivered growing up playing it.
@HaileyEira Replayable af. You could adjust the difficulty of each stage by tagging the harder or easier ones first as the police presence escalated.
JSRF was good but more of a one and done by comparision.
@Shenmue_Dojo@ININ_Games Yup. Glad to hear they are making it like new game plus from the start in line with the first two games free of the hard story progression stops to pad length.
