Getting a haircut at 3 today for the first time since my trichotillomania came back in full force..
Anxiety ridden and embarrassed for a whole salon to see what I’ve done to myself is an understatement 😭
Y’all please send good vibes my way that I can make it through today.
i get self conscious abt self diagnosing myself but if i don't have trichotillomania then what the fuck is wrong with me that this happens so frequently lol my chin is a disaster

To the people just starting their Trich Journey: There are lots of ups and downs. Cherish the good days and remember that the bad days won't last forever. Keep picking yourself up and reach out to the community when your struggling. We've got you.
This month will be my 5th year running this account. The time has flown and I am so grateful to have found such a strong and resilient group of people. Thank you for 5 years!
i want to talk about something that i see rarely talked about: Trichotillomania
i have it. it used to be REALLY bad! so bad i was completely bald. it came from a new medicine a doc gave me in middle school that worsened my OCD and anxiety. its taken all my might to /cont

I suffered SO bad w Trichotillomania as a teen, destroying my eyebrows and pulling at them so badly, I left holes in my skin. I have eyebrows now and I want to cry w joy. I dont look as good as I want to yet but sure. 1st pic is me 2015 aged 17, 2nd is me 10 mins ago
i suffer from trichotillomania. a hair pulling mental disorder so the message of @justinbieber’s new song #holdon touches my heart so much. say what u need to say. ask for help. dont be afraid to admit that youre struggling or feel overwhelmed. youre strong & you are not alone 💚
my mom just told me that i can control my trichotillomania by “thinking about how i’ll feel afterwards.” mother this is an impulse disorder not a quirky habit
So I have trichotillomania since I was in high school. I'm just gonna say it. If I knew how long covid and the lockdowns were going to last, I would have shaved my head to one, help with the impulse, and two, let my hair grow out evenly.
