@anonfmresident @tammyandjp You are partially correct. Equalization payments are based off fiscal capacity of the province. They receive payments if they fall below the national avg. The only real outlier is Quebec, due to their hydro power.

If they had won cup, no one would have cared.

The worst part, as a fan, is you never get the whole story on how the decisions were made.

@thackattack41 Too much of a risk at $6.8 with the Oilers defensive structure. He fell off horribly at the end of the year and Minnesota is much better defensively structured team.

The first round exit sets them up good for next year. Time to rest, train and get a good mindset again. Think last year’s loss beat them hard mentally.
