🚨 GLOBAL FOOD CRISIS IS ESCALATING 🚨

The Strait of Hormuz disruption isn’t just an energy story — it’s a full-blown food shock unfolding in real time.

Urea ≈ $900/ton
➡️ More than DOUBLE since January
➡️ Highest levels since 2022

But here’s what’s really breaking the system 👇

The Gulf isn’t optional — it’s CRITICAL:
• ~35% of global urea trade
• ~30% of ammonia exports
• ~50% of seaborne sulphur flows

No smooth flow = no cheap fertilizer
No fertilizer = lower yields
Lower yields = FOOD INFLATION

Energy shock is making it worse:
⚡ Energy index +41.6%
🌾 Fertilizer prices +26.2% (and rising)

Countries already exposed:
🇸🇩 Sudan – 54% imports via Gulf
🇱🇰 Sri Lanka – 36%
🇹🇿 Tanzania – 31%
🇸🇴 Somalia – 30%

These are the first pressure points.

Meanwhile:
🇸🇦 Saudi Arabia = #1 urea exporter
🇴🇲 Oman = top 3 urea supplier

Any disruption here = global ripple effect.

What comes next if this continues?

📉 Farmers cutting fertilizer use
📉 Yield losses
📈 Food prices spike globally

WFP warns:
➡️ +45 MILLION people pushed into acute hunger

Most of us believe that the modern style turbans were introduced by the British for Sikh Soldiers in the British Indian Army.

It is not the case.

When Maharaja Ranjit Singh onboarded Jean-François Allard (French) and Jean-Baptiste Ventura (Italian) as his Generals to modernise his army, he created Fauj-i-Khas (Special Brigade) under the two generals (around 1820s).

The training of Sikh army in European tactics required the change in attire and the new uniform with a change in style of turban was introduced.

So, the modern-style pagg dates back to 1820s and not early 1900s and is 200 years old.
