Congress comprehensively rigged the 1987 Jammu & Kashmir elections through ballot stuffing, arrests, curfews, even declaring defeated candidates as winners. Here is Shashi Tharoor himself admitting to the rigging.
These are the same people who accuse others of vote chori.
He cycles kilometres every week to clean the places most people choose to ignore.
At 26, Gaurang Sahu from Purba Medinipur, West Bengal, spends 3–4 days a week cleaning neglected public spaces alongside his B.Ed studies.
In six months, he has cleaned 50+ public spaces, sometimes spending 7–8 hours at a single spot.
He was mocked. People refused to help. Still, he kept showing up.
Because for Gaurang, keeping his city clean is not someone else’s responsibility.
It starts with him. And maybe, it can start with us too.
The Better India is celebrating Indians who turn love for their country into everyday action.
We’re launching #CivicSenseHero to honour people who make our communities cleaner, safer, more responsible, and kinder.
Because a better India is built by people who choose to care, even when no one is watching

Always wondered where we actually use these formulas in real life?
A mechanical engineer, sajjan_purushh on IG, is answering exactly that by breaking down cos ø (power factor) in workshops, showing how it quietly works behind the machines we see every day.
By breaking it down into everyday examples, he shows that engineering is not just theory in books. It is already shaping how our world runs, quietly and constantly.

“If you send me a legal notice, I will get you publicly noticed.”
Lawyers ask me to not take brand names, but I don’t follow what they say.
I never blur logos and always take brand names openly.
I don’t say “NOODLES”. I say maggi.
I don’t say “SOFT DRINKS”. I say coca-cola and pepsi.
I don’t say “CHIPS”. I say Lays and Kurkure.
And some food brands have tried to silence me with legal notices.
But as an Indian, I have freedom of speech. And freedom of speech includes the freedom to criticise.

Do you know that @narendramodi has already started 'Wealth Redistribution Scheme' though the bullshit of 'social justice' where our hard earned money is frivolously distributed to those who can vote for BJP?
In 2013-14 the budget for SC & ST was ₹41,561 cr and ₹24,598 cr. The great Ambedkarite Narendra Modi took it to unthinkable levels of ₹1,96,400 cr and ₹141,089 cr. In 12 years he raised it by 5 times for SCs and 6 times for STs.
In contrast the education budget in 2013-14 was ₹79,451 cr and the same for 2026-27 is ₹1,39,289.48 crore. Do you know how much it has increased in these 12 years of Modi rule? 75.3%! Yes, that's how great a priority education is for Modi.
And that's precisely why our whole education system is in shit because Modi wants all the money for rewadibazi that he has been consistently doing all these years, which went unnoticed till he screwed the GCs by UGC rules.
Yet, this (500-600% increase) was not done to uplift them, but for the chest-thumping that @BJP4India does in election rallies. This is just a data to let you know how electoral gains are prioritised over social upliftment.
Skills add value, rewadis kill it. This is the great wealth redistribution that Modi has been doing, silently. Share it and discuss it. And ask the morons who are defending BJP's shitty policies in these areas.
I will keep sharing more and more data points so that you are made aware of the theft of our hard earned money which is sacrificed at the altar of fake 'Rashtravaad' & 'Hindutva' narrative which is actually 'Ambedkarvaad' & 'casteism' repackaged to pull a curtain over our senses.
Stopped at a dhaba on the Jaipur highway yesterday. Hotel Jammu Himachal Dhaba,
Cheerwa, Udaipur. Bill came: ₹641.90 food + ₹32.10 GST. CGST 2.5%, SGST 2.5%.
Before I paid, I did what I always do. Opened https://t.co/o1skUj6JJH. Typed in the GSTIN from the bill. Hit Search.
Status: Regular Taxpayer.
I paid without a second thought.
But here is what most people don't know and what I have seen go wrong at dozens of small restaurants, dhabas, and shops across India:
A Composition taxpayer CANNOT collect GST from you. Ever.
Under the GST Composition Scheme, a dealer pays a flat tax to the government from their own pocket - 1% for traders, 6% for service providers. They cannot add GST to your invoice.
They cannot charge you CGST or SGST. The moment they do, that amount is being collected from you with zero legal basis.
It does not go to the government. It stays with the owner.
That is not a tax. That is a collection.
How to check in 30 seconds:
→ Open https://t.co/o1skUj6JJH
→ Search Taxpayer → Enter GSTIN from your bill
→ See: Regular / Composition / Suspended / Invalid
If it says Composition and they charged you GST you have the right to refuse payment of that amount and raise a complaint on the GST portal.
This dhaba was clean. Not every one is.
Check before you pay. 🧾
At 10, he stood at Sinhagad and made himself a promise.
If he ever got the chance to tell the stories of those who shed their blood to build Hindavi Swarajya, he would never take money for it.
More than seven decades later, Balkrishna Sadashiv “Appa” Parab is 86, and he has kept that promise.
He has explored 250 forts associated with Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, turning every expedition into a journey through history.
But this journey was never easy.
After his father’s death, Appa delivered newspapers, worked in bookshops and a mill, and later sold old books and magazines to support his family.
Yet he never abandoned the forts.
He went on to write 34 books, with six more awaiting publication, and guided countless people and institutions across Maharashtra through fort explorations, without accepting a single rupee in honorarium.
His wife and children stood by him through the financial strain his mission sometimes brought home.
And perhaps the most beautiful part of his legacy is what he passed on beyond history: values.

Why do we judge others without knowing their true intentions?
This simple story reminds us to pause, understand another person’s perspective, and choose empathy before jumping to conclusions.
Reflect before reacting.
I believe @JPNadda ji should be running to the family with ₹1 cr cheque! Every day, 36 students commit suicide in this country over such failures to get admission, pressure, poor system, exams etc. but no one talks about them.

It didn't take a government order or a massive budget to save this forgotten piece of history.
It took one person who refused to look away.
When Abbayi Kanth shared the heartbreaking condition of an ancient stepwell in Andhra Pradesh's Peapully Mandal on social media, people across the region responded with action.
More than 300 volunteers came together to clear years of plastic waste, food packets, coconut shells, temple offerings, and neglect, revealing the historic stepwell hidden beneath.
The restoration is more than a clean-up story. It is proof that civic sense begins when ordinary people decide that preserving our heritage is everyone's responsibility.
This Independence Day, The Better India presents #CivicSenseHeroes, a campaign to honour everyday Indians who don't just love their country, but care for it through action.

Biscuits can be worse than chocolates.
Most of us have chocolate only 1-2 times per week, but we have 2 biscuits in the morning and 2 biscuits in the evening. 4 biscuits per day = 28 biscuits per week!
In fact, sugar biscuits like Bourbon and Jim-jam have more added sugar than chocolates like Kit-Kat and Munch!
We should not focus on what we do 1-2 times per week, but instead focus on what we do every day.
