@Kritika_Kamra@instagram Yes. Just here to confirm that the censorship is real. They took down one of my poems in India and now they've completely shadowbanned my account.
Section 69A of the IT Act was invoked to restrict this poem. A poem that speaks of peaceful protests, the legacy of our ancestors and the sacrifices of our freedom fighters.
BREAKING: Many printers across Delhi are refusing to print posters etc for tomorrow's protest, citing police pressure. No trick is too dirty for the cops today.
A BJP backed miscreant was vendalising the buses of Delhi police at Jantar-Mantar. When the Congress supporters confronted him, asked who that person is, Delhi police went absolutely silent and started shielding him from protestors.
So, this is what happening in the Delhi's police department, haan!!!
AISF student leader Shravni Bua and her colleagues were on their way to Delhi.
But at Bhusaval station in Maharashtra, a bunch of police officers entered the train and tried to stop them.
The activists stayed their ground
In UP's Mathura, five gurukul students climb in to clean water tank; 4 dead
At a Gurukul in UP's Mathura, students were asked to clean the foul-smelling water tank. A boy climbed in. He didn’t come out. Four others went down after him to pull him out. All five collapsed, apparently from toxic gas trapped inside. They were eventually rescued and rushed to hospital. Four were declared dead. The fifth, Rudraksh, survived and is under treatment.
The deceased have been identified as Manu Katare, Vishu Sharma, Aryan Pandey and Devansh Sharma, aged roughly 16 to 20. About 100 students live at the gurukul, which is run by Ashish Kumar Sharma who fled from the premises after the incident.
These are a few major protests that changed women’s lives. Countless others happened in states, cities and villages.
And laws alone are never enough. Sometimes protest is needed to make a law, sometimes to enforce it, and sometimes to change a society that refuses to follow it.
If nobody had protested, girls might still be married at 12 or 13, denied education, kept out of workplaces and scientific fields.
It took thousands of protests to reach a point where some people can afford to believe protest is no longer necessary.
