It’s like a Time Machine. We the 90s kids always suspect we have outgrown Cricket. Life & its responsibilities have caught up, you are numb, now the sport won’t get you. But it gets you. With both hands. An intangible happiness which makes no material difference to your life, rooting for a bunch of strangers & for a made up entity. There is no rationale. No logic.

Yet, when Bumrah got that first wicket, I screamed at the top of my voice “BOWLED” in the middle of night. A aging person with a family, behaving like that kid back in 1996, who screamed “BOWLED” when Venkatesh uprooted Aamir Sohail.

Cricket is the best Anti aging solution. What a beautiful sport :)
