Yeah, it's in their best interest to bring him back ASAP. Although, I do think it's a bit of a tough situation to navigate.

On one hand, boycotters are leaving. On the other, antis are looking out for a potential re-launch just as much as we are so that they can sabotage it. Plus, there is JJP, also ready to jump on them at every turn.

Every move they make, someone is going to be mad at them. Plus, they've only got one chance to bring Valko back, and they can't afford for something unexpected to go wrong.

Personally, I don't think they'll be in a good position to bring back Valko until late November/early December at the earliest, after Sylus's projected MS update. If they tried to bring him back before that, the CDG would explode.

It almost feels like they are trying to cover their bases and address all the things that the antis could possibly use against them, while also slowly wearing them down, squeezing what they can out of them before bringing Valko back. That way, when they do bring him back, the antis won't really have the means to push back. Just my personal speculation, and maybe it's a bit too optimistic. But that is how it reads to me.

Really, I think the only roadblocks that are getting in the way of them releasing Valko would be the smear campaign and the ongoing legal stuff. They have to reign in the smear campaign before they are in a safe enough position to bring Valko back, I think. I don't see much of a way around that.

Still think it's a matter of when, not if. I don't see them setting just getting by when they have an asset that could help them return to their former success. In my opinion, it's not just about the money. It is about their reputation, too. Long-term, they're not going to be able to continue making the same quality of content that they had been if things continue this way. However, if there's a chance that they could re-establish themselves (Valko), then I'd imagine that they'd take it.

Advice to CN companies: don’t launch global games or try to expand to broader audiences if you’re going to cater to your domestic fanbase for every huge decision that impacts the experience and enjoyment of your entire paying customer base, just because a portion of it can’t respect your employees.

We global players don’t have time to play along and give you grace for your geopolitical business warfare and strategies. We’re here for a good time because games are entertainment, not to become the laughing stock of the people you cater to for every childish whim. You’re the one who launched a global version. You’re the one who wants our money. You’re the one who wants the reputation and recognition that comes with business and IP expansion, not us.

Valko is apparently too “Western” and “American,” but suddenly Blade Runner—a very American franchise—is something people are perfectly willing to larp (Absolutely no shade to the movie, as someone who’s watched it, it’s phenomenal) It seems like every Western concept, along with other non Chinese cultural and ethnic themes and designs within the game are acceptable for the Anti Valko CN players except for a Li that the developers may have created with the same game’s Western/Global audience in mind. Just a distasteful cowardly company with its terrible customers who happen to possess and blatantly disregard the very talented developers.
