On 14th April in 1987 a road accident led to fracture of my spinal chord and left me on the wheelchair for life, a quadriplegic. 38 years back the divyangs were vikalangs, invisible citizen, unwanted and a shame for the family. A lot has changed. On 11th April, this year, a film was released based on some important events of my life. Though with few fictional sequences and characters, the film is a beautiful effort at highlighting the issues of the divyangs, their non-acceptance and rejection. It depicts some of my struggles, some achievements and some wins. 2 hours is a very short time to capture 38 years but the film has beautifully depicted the sum and substance of the journey, though a lot remains untold. Archita Sahu and Rajesh Jaish's acting, Sushant Mani's direction, Prem Anand's music is admirable. Never ever give up, keep your eyes on the goal and work hard, despite rejections do not lose hope are some of the messages the film inspires us with. The values my parents brought me up with. At the same time the impact of cinema is visible with the recent decisions at Shri Jagganath Temple, Puri ( https://t.co/NmZCcOUR5u). My heartfelt thanks to Arvind Padhee.
Paade Akasha is a commendable attempt at creating a high-quality cinematic experience. It acknowledges the filmmaker's passion and dedication, recognizing the film as a significant effort to produce something meaningful and visually appealing. I invite all to come and view the film.
