We join Cardinal Pierbattista Pizzaballa, Latin Patriarch of Jerusalem, and all the Ordinaries of the Holy Land in calling for a day of fasting, abstinence, and prayer on October 17th. Read Cardinal Pizzaballa's statement at: https://t.co/MPh9cIvI4c
"these folks are seeing parts of Real America, especially in the Sun Belt and Midwest, that foreign tourists rarely visit, yet—as we’ve discussed here repeatedly—allow not-rich Americans to live very comfortable lives"

San Francisco (June 24) — Leftist lawmaker @Scott_Wiener was aggressively accosted in the Mission district by a far-left extremist demanding he chant “Free Palestine.” The demand mirrors how leftists and liberals hounded people to support BLM in 2020, or to wear masks.
AYFKM?
We know, with evidence, that these same workers gave Hamas specific intelligence that helped them perform the 10/7 attacks.
Israelis would have to have a death wish to open that door again.
This is fully on the Palestinians.
The definition of suicidal empathy. Hamas had such accurate maps and information about the neighboring kibbutzes because Palestinian workers drew them. And they used the information to perpetrate a massacre.
Sent this letter to my PA reps yesterday as soon as the story broke about Shapiro's treachery:
Dear PA Senators and Representatives:
I just found out Pennsylvania will NOT be sponsoring a booth at the Great American State Fair going on right now in Washington!
Imagine that – the colony that created America will not help celebrate this important milestone!
Whoever was responsible for this decision should be run out of the state on a rail!
What a national embarrassment Pennsylvania has become to the nation and the world.
I don’t care what excuses the Shapiro Administration is making. It’s all fraud anyway.
Where is the Republican leadership in the Legislature to loudly, and publicly condemn this sham?
Better yet, why hasn’t the Republican Leadership by-passed the Governor’s office and provided our own presentation?
Real Pennsylvanians love this country and want to celebrate this historic birthday. We should not be denied because of lousy leadership in Harrisburg!
What do you plan to do about it?
With the right people involved, there’s no reason a presence couldn’t be in place on the National Mall within 24-48 hours!
Remove Pennsylvania’s national disgrace. DO SOMETHING!
Thank you for your attention on this matter.
10th generation American and Pennsylvanian

🚨 Senator Dave McCormick: Pennsylvania to Participate in Great American State Fair🚨
When given the opportunity to have our Commonwealth represented at the Great American State Fair, Josh Shapiro refused.
But Pennsylvania is too important to the story of America to be missing during our 250th celebration. That's where Senator Dave McCormick stepped in.
Together with Senator Fetterman and U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Brooke Rollins, McCormick is ensuring our Commonwealth will have a strong presence at the Great American State Fair.
Better yet, it will be completely privately funded with no tax dollars. 💪
Thank you, @SenMcCormickPA your leadership and for ensuring our Commonwealth is adequately represented!

In this video Mamdani’s friend Yusef Salaam—City Council Rep for Harlem—says this proves that “impossible” contains the words “I’m possible.” Yusef’s political career began when he carried a 14 inch metal pipe into Central Park & hit multiple people over the head with it including a jogger who nearly died while his buddies then raped her. He confessed this to police, multiple of his friends who were there confessed this about him to police (on videotape, with details only the perps could’ve known), & he admitted under oath on the stand at his own trial that he entered the park with his weapon & his friends & that they then began “wilding” on people. When he was sentenced, he read a slam poem about racism to the judge. He appealed because he lied to police about being of age when he was arrested & showed them a fake ID “proving” this, so they asked him about his crime & he incriminated himself without his parents present; his appeal was rejected. He served 6 years behind bars, then was paid over $7 million because politically connected people in NY politics thought arresting violent blacks was “racist” & another guy who was already behind bars for life separately confessed to raping the jogger, so supposedly this proved Yusef couldn’t have done anything wrong. Yusef then got sweet sinecures at Cornell & on the board of the Innocence Project—helping thugs like him get away with brutal crimes—& got elected to the City Council several years ago & was invited with his fellow Central Park rapists to speak at the 2024 DNC about how racist the supposed rapist Donald Trump was for saying they were guilty & should be executed instead of getting let out so they can keep ruining our country.
The problem is that the pro-rent control people understand this and don’t care. It’s an accelerationist policy designed to break the private housing market as a step toward socialization—while also creating a new class of clients.
10 states—Connecticut, Illinois, Maine, Massachusetts, North Carolina, Oregon, Rhode Island, Vermont, Washington, and Pennsylvania—have confirmed they will not send an official delegation to the “Great American State Fair” on the National Mall in celebration of America’s 250th.
9 of the states are led by Democratic governors, with Vermont being the only Republican-governed state to decline involvement so far.
Notably, PA Gov. Josh Shapiro tops the list of highest paid governors.
On Mar. 1, 2006 — just days before the headquarters of the 1st Brigade, 82nd Airborne Division, completed its deployment to Afghanistan — Capt. Wes Moore stood in formation at Forward Operating Base Salerno for an end-of-tour awards ceremony.
The brigade’s commander, then-Col. Patrick J. Donahue, trooped the line, presenting military medals and badges to soldiers and officers. Each award citation was read aloud by an announcer.
When Donahue stopped in front of Moore, the award presented to him was not a Bronze Star Medal.

For those keeping score at home, Jacob Frey has posted 6 times about Somali Independence Day on this account but only 1 time about America's Independence Day.
Why do Democrats not want to honor America?
Rental car is new, expensive, and utterly undriveable.
Main problem is the aggressive notification to take a break with a coffee emoji and five loud beeps. It is triggered if you drive too close to the line or veer even slightly outside the perfect center, like threading a needle constantly.
So it screams at you for even the slightest venial sin -- providing more moral exhortations than a puritan preacher in 17th century Plymouth. This happened every ten minutes or so on a 2.5 hour drive. Makes one insane. If I drank all the coffee they had suggested, I would have been hospitalized.
Meanwhile anything you want to do -- turn on the radio, change the temp, change the station whatever -- comes with a text warning not to be distracted and a terms of use approval, as if this is not distracting in itself. I'm certain the rental is somehow linked to the Internet so you get the sense that you are not driving at all. Paradoxically, it all feels extremely unsafe and it is impossible to relax. Horrid!
The one time someone snuck into my blindspot going 80 -- now way to see this because this SUV has the outward visibility of a tank -- the magic seeing eyes did not notice. It is more interesting in correcting that helping me. What a miserable experience.
It's odd because the US went all in with cars after WW2 at the expense of passenger trains on grounds that cars offer individual freedom. These new cars do NOT offer individual freedom. They are hectoring, surveilling, prisons on wheels. By constantly registering distrust in you as the driver, they deprecate volition and hence make driving less safe than ever.
WaPo didn't renew her contract. She's now just writing on Substack I think.
Funny how all these NYT and WaPo columnists who have lost their jobs over the past 5 or so years have so little value in the marketplace that no one will hire them.
