Shining light on Ugandaโs unpaid, unseen medical students who heal hearts, save lives & keep hope alive in rural communities. ๐พ๐ #UnsungMedicsUganda
Basically the government instead of dealing with the issues Ugandaโs health sector has, it has decided to increase the stress of those holding it together and there by reducing their performance
Shame on you #noslavedoctors#paymedicalinterns
Healthcare begins long before the hospital, it starts here, in communities, in conversations, in care.
โWhen 75โ80% of patients arrive late, prevention becomes the real emergency.
This is where future doctors step in, not just to treat, but to change the story.โ

Look at this guy
You might think he is an intern, no

@Jeff_genzah@kiuvarsity@SpireJim@MinofHealthUG The post quoted here is throwing shade to the outstanding ranking of the institution, so I donโt see how what your saying has anything to do with constructive criticism
@CeaserJawia@SpireJim@kiuvarsity@MinofHealthUG Ideal WHO recommendation is 1:1000, Ug is currently estimated at 1:25000, for the other question am not familiar with the university recruitment criteria
Their medical school alone has single handedly improved doctor patiemt ratio in all regions of Ug in both regional and general hospitals
Along with their clinical rotating students, they send atleast 3 specialists and 6 SHOs in all regions these students take of people loved 1s
Many people out there have no idea how university rankings work and how easy it is for ill-regulated universities to manipulate and rank highly to dupe the unsuspecting public. This is actually done by some Ugandan universities. Ask the professors there, theyโll tell you the tricks used. Thatโs why the public is confused why some universities that compromise a lot on quality rank highly, while some of those that are known for sticking to the right thing rank lower. In a corrupt environment, anything goes and otherwise good initiatives lose meaning. Ironically, National Council of Higher Education is aware of all we are talking about.
@pomat73037890@SpireJim@kiuvarsity@MinofHealthUG Are you familiar with WHO recomendation for doctor patient ratio, even if they employed all medical students including year 1 currently in all medical schools we would still come in short, they are actually helping you, your just used to funny government policy implememtation
Which of the 2 do you consider as the best learning method in medical school surgery rotation ?
You can just find out at the university with the biggest impact in Uganda

@MayBorn12@SpireJim@kiuvarsity@MinofHealthUG With their numbers, chances are high your alive today if you are a sickly person coz of them, no one asks for papers before treatment
@IRichardK256@SpireJim@kiuvarsity@MinofHealthUG A few of the concerns reflect issues any intitution is dealing with and ๐ฆ is aware coz they have been raised through normal channels before but most are rediculous exagerations that make communication hard
