Mamata Banerjee’s true face has once again been exposed. While she recently stood at Netaji Indoor Stadium and blatantly lied to the unemployed teachers—falsely promising to protect their jobs—the reality tells a very different story. Since yesterday, the “Salary Portal” of the School Education Department has been completely inaccessible, creating massive confusion and chaos regarding April salaries for government and government-aided school teachers across West Bengal.

In West Bengal, school education operations are administered through the District School Inspectors’ (DI) offices. All DIs were verbally instructed to include in the salary process even those teachers whose appointments were cancelled following the Honourable Supreme Court’s judgment. When these officers rightfully demanded written instructions—recognizing this as a potential case of contempt of court—they were threatened over phone calls and told to either comply or risk losing their own jobs.

They were further instructed to direct all headmasters, headmistresses, and teacher-in-charges to upload salary data only for those teachers not affected by the court’s ruling. As word of this manipulation leaked, unemployed teachers began gathering at various DI offices, leading to protests across several locations.

In a desperate attempt to control the fallout, the Salary Portal was centrally locked by the authorities.

Mamata Police shame on you.

BJP Leader Vikash Singh who is the Convenor of the Basirhat Lok Sabha Constituency was arrested day before
yesterday on false and frivolous charges in the Sandeshkhali incident.
The Basirhat Subdivisional Court granted him bail yesterday.
The shameless Mamata Police arrested him again in the Court premises itself after he was released.

This is just outrageous. I hope that Judiciary will take note of the Police excesses.

I condemn this unethical and illegal arrest.

শালবনীর কর্ণগড় অঞ্চলের মোহনপুর গ্রামে বিজেপির সক্রিয় কার্যকর্তা মিঠুন খামরুইকে গতকাল তৃণমূলের দুষ্কৃতীরা নৃশংস ভাবে খুন করে। মিঠুনের পুরো পরিবার সক্রিয় বিজেপির সমর্থক। ২০১৮ সালের পঞ্চায়েত নির্বাচনে মিঠুনের মা গ্রাম পঞ্চায়েতে প্রতিদ্বন্দ্বিতা করেছিলেন। ২০২১ এর বিধানসভা নির্বাচনের পর নির্বাচন পরবর্তী হিংসায় তার ঘর ভাঙচুর করা হয়। দীর্ঘদিন ঘর ছাড়া ছিলেন মিঠুন। শুধুমাত্র বিজেপি করার অপরাধে তাঁকে খুন হতে হলো। গতকাল মিঠুন খামরুই এর বাবা থানায় এফআইআর করার পর এখনো পর্যন্ত পুলিশ কাউকে গ্রেফতার করা তো দূরের কথা প্রাথমিক তদন্তটুকুও শুরু করেনি।

আজ মোহনপুর গ্রামে নিহত বিজেপি কার্যকর্তা মিঠুন খামরুই এর বাড়িতে ওনার শোকার্ত পরিবারের সাথে দেখা করে প্রান্তিক পরিবারটির হাতে দলের পক্ষ থেকে সামান্য আর্থিক সাহায্য তুলে দিয়ে সর্বতোভাবে পাশে থাকার আশ্বাস দিলাম।
