In investing, doing nothing is also a decision. And often, it is the hardest one.

Markets constantly tempt us to act.
A stock falls — should I sell?
It rises sharply — should I chase it?
Someone else is making money — what am I missing? FOMO feeling 
The news changes — should I change my portfolio?

But activity and progress are not the same thing.

Over time, I’ve realised that some of the best investment decisions were not brilliant buys or perfectly timed exits.

They were simply periods when we had done the work, understood what we owned, and had the patience not to interfere with compounding.

Of course, doing nothing should never mean ignoring facts. When the business changes, management integrity/governance is questioned, capital allocation deteriorates, or the original thesis breaks — act decisively.

But when only the price changes while the thesis remains intact — patience can be a competitive advantage.

Investing is a strange profession. We are paid to make decisions, yet sometimes the best decision is no decision at all.

This is why the process matters so much. Research gives you conviction. Risk management keeps you alive. And patience allows compounding to do its work.

If such remarks are being defended as "just a joke," then those defending them should ask whether they would find the same "joke" acceptable if it were directed at the women in their own families. Respect and dignity cannot have double standards. Deliberately provoking social tensions for political gain is against the national interest. I’ve consistently noticed a significant difference in fuel economy in my Toyota Hycross depending on where I refuel.

When I fill up at the Jio-bp petrol pump on the Agra–Gwalior highway, I get around 11 km/l. The same car, driven under similar conditions, gives around 16 km/l when refuelled at a Bharat Petroleum outlet in Delhi.

With the recent concerns around E20 fuel and the rising demand for ethanol-free fuel, I think this deserves attention. Is anyone else experiencing such a large variation in mileage between fuel stations or brands?

Requesting @JioBPIndia and @BPCLimited to look into this. Consistent fuel quality is essential for consumer confidence.

On the day of my journey, Iran launched missile attacks on Bahrain, making travel through Bahrain unsafe. No reasonable passenger would risk their life under such circumstances. I had no option but to book an alternate flight.

I immediately informed both MakeMyTrip and Gulf Air and was initially assured that my case would be considered. However, my refund was later denied solely because the ticket was marked “non-refundable.”

A non-refundable fare should not override passenger safety during an extraordinary geopolitical emergency. This was force majeure, not a voluntary cancellation.

I request @makemytrip and @GulfAir to review my case compassionately and process a refund or provide appropriate travel credit.
