Former Yorkshire Post Features Editor, now desperately hoping those who do, can also teach. All views my own except those I've pinched from Grace Dent.
Guess this makes it official. My piece for @Telegraph on why I am swapping journalism for teaching. (PR lovelies, please don’t ditch me from mailing lists. Until Boris comes good with those billions for schools am planning on a bit of freelancing) https://t.co/0skQt2XFbr
@ASFFest just checking is the final documentary screenings at 7.15 at Friargate or NCEM. Overview looks like NCEM but blurb at the top of the page says Friargate?
@JamesOHaraAgain Hi James, I think Chris from Pete McKee’s gallery may have passed on a message but I am writing a piece for the Yorkshire Post on redevelopment projects and am keen to include Leah’s Yard. If you were available tomorrow after 2pm for a chat that would be fab.
@emilyrmoorex Hi Emily, I am writing a piece for The Yorkshire Post on the future of tuition fees and university funding. As part of the report I am looking to get some student views and I wondered whether you might be free for a chat. Thank you!

@StrawberryAsd I retrained as a secondary school English teacher at 45 and I love it. I did juggle some freelance writing while I trained and still do the odd bit to supplement the salary, so it is possible. Bursaries still available for maths and science subjects which is also a huge help.
In this week's issue, with boxing having given Safiyyah Syeed a reason to live, she tells Sarah Freeman why she is now determined to fight the stereotypes keeping women like her out of sport.

@antanddec@TweeterPriest I met your lovely brother only once for an hour when he came to say mass at our school. Funny, thoughtful and inspiring I left that mass wishing he’d been my priest Ias a kid. It is a cruel world but he made his corner of it so much kinder. x
@TebbsG@ChronandEcho Those Chron days were some of the best I ever had in journalism. The place was lucky to have you in the first place and even luckier you stayed when as the foundations of local papers were chipped away at. Good luck in whatever you do next, even if it’s just sitting quietly. xxx
#Hullraisers is the latest comedy series to put the lives of ordinary women centre stage. In this week's issue, @puthatpendown meets star Leah Brotherhead, who also shares her unglamorous @bridgerton experience.

@YRBBC Hi there, the Yorkshire Post is hoping to run some photographs of this weekend’s event in tomorrow’s paper. I know you are still in the middle of the event but I was hoping someone might be free for a quick chat. Thanks in advance. Sarah.
