@sociotalker If only they invest at least equal amount of time designing and communicating on how migration of the capital significantly accelerate a more equitable distribution of economic growth - instead of mere grandiose illustration of the office of one branch of government …
@Twitter@elonmusk can the algorithms that show other tweets “based on your likes” be altered to also show the opposite or at least different opinions at least 20-30% of the time? A healthy public town square facilitates interaction of different views and not groupthink.
Scolding your team in public does not negate your accountability as the chief executive. The buck stops with you.
Public scolding without outcome is reputation management, not performance management.
@sociotalker@SulfikarAmirPhD Nice piece! Capital migrations of the past were also done in a very different global context. In today’s ever more volatile world, Indonesia needs to focus on building a more resilient society - for all, not just future residents of IKN - instead of a new capital.
@BonnieTriyana@historia_id ada arsip / artikel tentang masa Agresi Militer 1947-49 ketika Indonesia diserang sembari negosiasi, supaya bisa belajar kalau negara lain sekarang alami hal yang sama, sebaiknya Indonesia bersikap dan beraksi seperti apa? Terima kasih.
Dear @InstituteGC, do you truly believe that it is wise for Indonesia to spend this much public and private resources to build a new capital amidst an ever volatile world? Or would these resources be better spent on e.g. pursuing Sustainable Development Goals?
Indonesia needs Rp 466 trillion—equal to 2.7 percent of its GDP—to build its new capital, Nusantara. The state coffers can only cover one-fifth of the project costs.
@SimonNewton5 @thehistoryguy Shackleton’s Imperial Trans-Antarctic Expedition was also in the period of World War I. Expeditions such as these (Shackleton’s and Shears’) are quiet reminders that technology and sheer resolve are better spent for peaceful discoveries rather than wars.
With thanks to the insightful works of @wef (https://t.co/d6g8vMiIwQ) and @IESR (https://t.co/KsqItkiYwb.), finally wrote another piece in the @jakpost after over 12 years:
