@blue_nile_3d yeah, but the print resolution didn't hold up. 10x10 arrays worked great. I tried gluing individual glitter to it, and that also didn't go well. I went direction that's not infringing on the rayy patents and got stuck with a machining issue I have yet to solve.
@Govindtwtt I made a normal map from a scanned bag, avoiding putting the text into the normal map. This saves me tons of time and paint to pull a height map from a matte white object. Still very supervised, but useful. The client thought it was too wrinkly, and wants a flat version.
@blue_nile_3d I tried this out 5 years ago, and 3D printed some demos. I created a positive and negative versions so I could press foil into the correct shape
@TheIceGrenade I'm wondering the same thing about a game I'm making. The visuals here are probably really cool to you, but don't really have much meaning to me. You might want to figure out your target audience, and how to reach them before making a place for them to hang out.
@SamCole I'm making a house scale pvp AR headset app and was going to name it mega grid, and then found this thing. Mine should be easier to deploy in custom environments, but won't track feet - just a single point on your hand.
@BenGeskin@csevege@ASUS_ROG@XREAL_Global I have a 4k/3d projector that size, but glasses have simultaneous l/r frames, vs shutter shades stutter on the projector, and they are high contrast vivid oled. I put the xreal1 screen to match and it's great. Could replace my projector for <3 viewers with little complaint.
@ID_AA_Carmack@BeatSaber Wordament (a boggle style app ) does this where you match with everyone in the world in the same board - I suggested this for a few VR games to have realtime shared procgen challenges running every day so you can battle skills instead of simply memorization.
