The (excellent) Alabama anchor started the show tossing it to the former Alabama QB, and we now check in with a legendary Alabama coach who still collects a check in Tuscaloosa.
keep coming back to this:
Notre Dame's two losses were by a combined four points. Their most recent loss was on September 14th.
Alabama lost by 21, yesterday
In the last three years...
There's been 16 conference championship game losers that were ranked in the CFP Top 25 entering the game.
15 of the 16 losers dropped in the next poll.
The lone exception...the 2025 Alabama Crimson Tide.
@greg2126 i don't think they drop BYU for losing, they don't want to open that can of worms, they just want the conversation and ratings from the possibility (nd's vegas odds got better after the show)
@DanWetzel feels like everybody is baking in the ability of byu to fall a spot if they lose their conference championship but saying it would be impossible for alabama to do so
i genuinely am okay with the amount of teams they're getting in this year as a "benefit of the doubt from the last two decades" sort of thing, but this is the last time
NEW: Marco Rubio jokes that Donald Trump will have to take over the CFP committee if Miami is left out:
“I'm a Florida Gator. But if the University of Miami gets screwed out of the College Football Playoffs, after going 10-2 and beating Notre Dame, the whole thing should be scrapped and (Trump) is gonna have to take over next year.”

@ACCFootball@CanesFootball@MiamiHurricanes hey this just got put on my timeline again and i was wondering why you said each team has four wins against common opponents — like what is that supposed to make me feel as a reader, how is it supposed to move me, to stir my soul
