As a regular commuter in @TfL Northern line, I find it shocking how we all simply accept the absurd levels of noise from the tracks. In the US or Germany, it would be lawsuits galore, but Londoners just shrug and turn up the volumes on their earbuds.
Please don't try to justify Elon Musk's "vision" behind the name change. He likes X because of the sex references, otherwise why rename meeting rooms "eXposure" and "seXy". He is like a 13 year old writing a school paper and giggling because he named a character "Dick Long".
I'm growing a bit frustrated with @Airbnb. Second time in a row that a host cancels a (paid) booking, no explanations (coincidentally, now rates are much higher...). How can I make holiday plans like this? Hotels are suddenly looking great...
When did it become aspirational to speak fast? Iโve encountered a few presenters who just spew word after word with no pause, no time for reflection, and itโs v annoying. Maybe an effect of US debate club culture?
It's mind-boggling that productivity is about to skyrocket (because AI), but from most points of view and for most people, this is actually a huge problem - unemployment, etc. Where did we go wrong as a society?
Iโve decided to stop using @Uber. It has become too unreliable, multiple rides cancelled, repeated times, in different countries. This is not sustainable.
The same people shouting "Free speech is absolute!" and "Good government is small government" is giving us "Students can only read books from a list pre-approved by authorities". ๐ค
