A taxi driver in Tbilisi taught me a lot about why we are building Pixel Academy.
Three minutes about him this morning - about the layer of every new technology that almost nobody is building, and the one we have spent six years building instead.
For the founders, investors, and operators in my network making decisions about what to back and what to build over the next decade.
Watch when you have a moment. Tell me what you think.

🚀 We’re at the SelectUSA Investment Summit - and tomorrow Pixel Academy takes the stage in the semi-finals.
Selected as one of the standout global startups to pitch directly to top-tier investors, VCs, corporate leaders, and U.S. government officials at the U.S. Department of Commerce’s flagship event.
For a Georgian EdTech company pioneering the world’s first tokenized real-world asset in education, this is major validation. PXL token holders don’t just invest - they literally own a share of Pixel Academy and earn dividends from our blockchain-powered programs in coding, crypto, and finance (with verified credentials).
This selection shows the world sees the power of what we’re building: world-class tech & finance education combined with true ownership and blockchain transparency.
Extremely proud of the entire team and grateful for the opportunity to put Georgia’s innovation on the global stage.
Tomorrow is our moment. Let’s go! 🇬🇪🇺🇸

@superkasman@blockchainchick@arbitrum "Wanna be bitcoiner" - are the Kaspa "people", what is the math of Kaspa? 1+1= 4? :) Bro go study something, forget about that kind of shit manipulations, if you have a free take some financial courses or do the math and cryptography.
@superkasman@blockchainchick@arbitrum That's another topic, but if you say that you just find out about the security council, it's public. not hidden. and I am not protecting Arbitrum, I am mentioning that people who are using defi services first should understand how it's working.
@adam3us There is no other Bitcoin. But the smart contracts are really needed, eve to avoid the governments borders! But uneducate people always will be under the risk they do not understand.
The moment when the hackers understand the industry better than the industry itself.
Just learn the infra where you are doing financial activities guys. nothing else. Just Educate yourselves!
@monerify You are right! but the people should know that before it is not hidden, it's public. All layer 2s have that power Base, Optimism, Scroll, ZKsync.
Before you scream "Arbitrum isn't decentralized!" over the KelpDAO freeze - read.
@arbitrum is a Stage 1 rollup. Not Stage 2. That distinction is public, documented, and has been for years.
Stage 1 = a 12-member Security Council (elected) with emergency upgrade powers. 9-of-12 multisig. It's not a bug. It's the spec.
@base, @Optimism, @Scroll_ZKP, @zksync - same story. Almost every L2 you use today has some form of upgrade key or council.
If your mental model was "L2 = trustless like L1," your model was wrong. That's on you, not @arbitrum.
Criticize the trade-off if you want. That's fair. But "how DARE they" energy without knowing how rollups work is embarrassing.
Read l2beat. Then tweet.
@justinsuntron and stop creating rumors, if you want to compete create better solution :) or you did not know about all above too?
@coinbureau Why people hate education I do not get it, read the fucking docs before buying something! and @justinsuntron was not that power publicly declared by the layer 2s?
Sorry Justin but you can not say that when there is Bitcoin, Litecoin and Monero on the Market. And there is only Tether on the tron and you guys are not working on the defi system's as I see. So one more time Sorry for the reality but that's true. And Tron is not Layer 2 as Arbitrum do not compare yourself to them.
The lesson:
DeFi yield stacking isn't free. Each layer adds a dependency.
Staking, liquid staking, restaking, liquid restaking, bridging, looping - each adds its own failure mode.
When one link breaks at the bottom of the stack, everything built on top unwinds with it.
🧵 Over the weekend, $292M was drained from DeFi protocol KelpDAO.
Within hours, $6B+ was pulled from Aave in panic.
Here's what actually happened - and what "rsETH," "restaking," and "looping" mean.
A thread for anyone new to DeFi or did not know the magic of DeFi👇
Looping - borrow against collateral to buy more collateral (leverage)
Bridge - moves tokens between blockchains;
DVN - the "verifier" that confirms cross-chain messages are real;
