The important thing is that although it will be a light crop this year, the bushes look good, and we can expect that there will be some better seasons in the future.
There are large holes in the net letting the birds in, and lots of long grass. It was so wet the lawnmower kept getting bogged and so did the cherry picker we use to repair the netting. But it is OK now.
The bad news is that our farm shop will not be open this season. We have never had such a late start to the harvest season. It has been caused by an unusually and persistently cold and wet Spring. Finally we have some Summer weather.
I'm one of 700,000+ calling on @AlboMP and @ScottMorrisonMP to bring #JulianAssange home. Time is running out before he is extradited to the US. Australia must act NOW. #FreeAssange https://t.co/xvZ9WXzhYG
Our farm shop will not open this season except by prior appointment. We may accept a few tentative orders for pre-picked fruit, subject to availability and a phone number for confirmation. We are working hard to fix problems and increase production.
The blueberries in the shops at present are mainly from northern NSW. Ours are still very green and will not be ready much b4 XMAS. Check closer to time for opening hours, this site only, and please disregard any sites that say we are open now, because we really truly are not!
We are sorry, but this harvest season is now over.
We attribute this to the impact of the extreme heat last summer on the initiation of buds for this season's fruit.
If we don't have any late spells of extreme heat this summer, next year's crop should be back to normal.
We are not able to take any more orders at present, and "Pick Your Own" is not currently available. Our farm shop is closed until Monday January 11, waiting for more berries to ripen.
The ripening has been slow because of cool weather. We have sold out of ripe fruit and will be closed until Sunday 3rd Jan at 11 a.m. waiting for more to ripen.
Our farm shop will open 11am to 4pm from Sunday 20th for sales of pre-picked berries. Times outside these hours by prior appointment. Closed Xmas Day and public holidays.

The good news is that our earliest varieties are almost ripe and our shop will open the week before Christmas, so we can start accepting a few orders. Just have to hope we don't get any more strong winds like the last few days or the rest of our fruit will end up on the ground.
Oops! A few have been interpreting the last tweet as "yes we are open," but what we were saying was "yes there are fresh blueberries in some SA shops, but they don't come from us, and we are not yet open".
Yes, there are fresh blueberries available now, but not ours. They can be very nice, are generally from northern NSW and have different growing requirements. Our bushes are mainly fully deciduous, with four distinct seasons. We are told our summer berries are worth waiting for.
We are pleased to have had a traditional cold wet winter. Good for setting fruit buds. Now we have to do all the other jobs and wait for the berries to ripen.
We expect our earliest berries to be ripe about mid December. Check closer to that time for more up to date information.
Today Sunday 16th is the last day for our shop to be open this harvest. A very small amount of fruit left to pick. May take a couple more orders, by phone on 85569100, and subject to confirmation, but once it is gone we will all be waiting until next summer.
Nice weather here at last. Our PYO fruit has all been picked. Our farm shop is still open for ice creams. Still taking orders for counter sales of a couple of late varieties that will ripen over the next two weeks. Please leave phone number for confirmation.
Our berries have survived amazingly well so far, but these hot days are tough for the refrigeration. We cannot keep opening the ice cream freezer on extreme heat days unless we are prepared to sip the ice creams through a straw!
Hot windy morning and catastrophic fire danger forecast for today, Mon 30th. If you are planning a visit, suggest you leave it until tomorrow. Not open New Year's Day, or during periods of extreme heat.
Hope you had a good Christmas. Our fruit survived the heat, so far at least. Open for sales this morning, but if it reaches the forecast 38 this afternoon we will have to shut early. Same Saturday through Monday although slightly cooler than Adelaide.
Unspeakable 40+ degree weather for blueberries! Our shop will open until 11am for pre-arranged orders to be collected and then close to help our refrigerators to cope. We will not open on Friday, but plan to re-open Saturday morning while stocks last.
