@Williams_Justin Worth noting that Sorsby checked into a gambling addiction treatment program on April 27, which is conveniently after the school had been notified of the investigation.
A super majority of the Big 12 directors (schools) already have almost unlimited discretion to sanction Texas Tech. What’s more, they also have the authority to amend the Big 12 Bylaws at any time to specifically require the immediate suspension or dismissal of any school which knowingly plays an athlete who has admitted to placing bets on his own team.
@TuasRevenge@ckparrot Yeah, he didn't point shave. If he did, he would/should be banned from the NFL as well. But still, betting the under in a game you could have played in is something you can't let slide.
@ckparrot@TuasRevenge Totally agree with you. He was QB2 at the time he bet the under in 2023. Indiana was rotating QBs early in that season. Sorsby played in weeks 1,2,5,6. The under bet occured in week 3 or 4. So he knew there was a chance he could have played in the game he bet on.
@STXAmbassador The first point is already wrong. He bet the under when he suited up as the QB2. But you know, don't let the facts get in the way of all the gaslighting that Tech fans are doing.
@HtownIsWestTX@UT4x_champs You left out the part that says the guy who bet on Texas basketball retired from college football. Maybe Sorsby could do the same.
@BenjaminGolan@ShehanJeyarajah It was a huge story at Iowa and Iowa State, and those programs cut bait with the athletes. Absolutely would have blown up if Hunter Dekkers sued and was able to keep playing D1 ball.
@TimCowlishaw One last time, Tim. You were already made aware of an article that says Sorsby was betting against his own team while he was the QB2. Not only was he suiting up during that season, he eventually became the starter.

@TTRedRaider1983@StephenMcG44630 Are all the cactus emoji accounts bots because you're all just repeating the same incorrect shit.
Sorsby specifically bet the under in 2023 when he started out as a backup QB before taking over the starting role.

@CameronSchmoker@CJVogel_OTF Confidently incorrect. He bet the under on September 2023 game in which he suited up for as the QB2. He wasn't redshirting in 2023. Played a bunch of snaps as the backup and as a starter.

@felipe4prez Lies. He bet the under in a game he suited up as the QB2 in 2023. The game in question was likely the one against Louisville where Tayven Jackson was announced as the starter.
