Really enjoyable visit to @PetsatHome Wakefield, to meet with Samantha & Jenny to discuss our shared support for a ban on electronic shock collars - as well as other animal welfare concerns.
We are constantly having to still remind advertisers, and shockingly a pet care company, on the use of animals with physical characteristics that negatively impact on their health in their advertising. There is easily available guidance available at @BritishVets
I hope @Jollyestweets take a look at @BritishVets guidance for the responsible use of animals in advertising. Please don't use animals with physical characteristics that negatively impact on their health. Scottish Folds & brachycephalics are a poor choice! https://t.co/0zl4DBcGHw
@UKVolkswagen Another day, another day of silence from anyone at your company looking to resolve the issues with my car. Might deliver my car back to the dealership with a bow on it for Easter 😒
@GetSet_Vet I did what I called “Dark room therapy”. Basically resting in a properly dark room. Stop the sensory overload your brain will be experiencing. And I mean rest during day, as well as night. I don’t know if it sped up recovery as such, but it shortened the times I was foggy
@sequinaddict Tell me everything you’re doing, even when administering meds or liquid food down NG tube. I just about kept it together during my time on ICU because one amazing nurse realised I needed to be informed (I couldn’t speak) and let the team know. Game changer.
@kelly_maitland @eon_next Exactly same here. Logged in this morning to see reduction. We are in very lucky position but why on earth are an energy company making this type of decision - without my agreement or notification. We had already planned to let the balance top up “just in case”
@geraintjohn_ I lost my brother just over a year ago. I realised that grief is a deeply personal journey, unique to each individual - but, you’re right, we don’t speak about it enough. Ease into the next stage of your journey and follow where the path takes you.
@AndrewJD I remember key moments from my time in ICU and when one of the anaesthetists came to see me on the ward, I instantly knew who she was - despite never interacting with her “awake” until that moment.

@thestubbornvet Cat 1. Decided to fight a combine harvester. Lived to tell the tale. Minus a leg. Cat 2. So much badness post RTA, open pelvic fracture and both hindlegs degloved. Dealt with it like a champ, doing great.
@swanseastones Malory Towers, Enid Blyton. Read the entire series just before starting secondary school. The stories did not go on to replicate real life 😐
I'm not sure how it's happened but I appear to have fallen into #medtwitter despite living firmly in #vettwitter. My feed is now a smorgasbord of med & vet with the occasional side serving of #starwars & #lego . 2022 is gonna be a wild ride 😉
