Yomi Fabiyi has turned a tragedy into theatre.

Even after the Lagos Coroner’s Inquest on Mohbad’s death warned against false narratives, he continues to push unfounded “murder” claims filming and broadcasting police arrests live for public attention.

This isn’t activism. It’s manipulation and interference with justice.

His conduct has now led to Damola being arrested twice in Lagos by different police commands, despite having no link to homicide. He’s now transferred to FCID Abuja on ACP Tarfa’s orders even though the Ikeja Police Command still has custody of the alleged “evidence” phone.

Two arrests. Two commands. One baseless allegation. No new evidence.

This is a duplication of police process and a misuse of authority, fueled by sensationalism and misinformation.

This is not activism — it’s manipulation.

After the Lagos Coroner’s Inquest on Mohbad’s death warned against falsehoods, Yomi Fabiyi continues to stage arrests live for public attention, spreading unverified “murder” claims already disproven by the court’s findings.

His theatrics have now led to Damola being arrested twice in Lagos by different police commands, and now being held at the homicide division in Abujaon the order of ACP Tarfa’s despite the Ikeja Police Command still in possession of the alleged “evidence” phone.

Two arrests within same state and a transfer to Abuja in the absence of new evidence. No lawful basis.

This duplication of police process shows how misinformation and sensationalism can corrupt justice.

Indeed, Sir @PoliceNG, one of those undermining the integrity of the Force is Yomi Fabiyi whose false claims of a “federal directive” and public fundraising for arrests now extend to aiding the abduction of persons already before a competent court.

Picking up individuals who are under judicial process on the same matter violates Section 36(1) of the 1999 Constitution, which guarantees fair hearing and due process.

Worse still, the reported interrogation on “who fathered Mohbad’s son” or “who slept with his wife” has no legal bearing whatsoever a clear embarrassment to the institution and a mockery of justice.

These acts demean the Nigeria Police Force, mislead the public, and erode faith in lawful procedure.
