But if you look at its growth compared to the cancer of trillionaire industry, it's amazing that such a small body of hard workers can successfully combat the largest and greediest industries in America.
Americans often wonder why we need strong unions. Teamsters has grown over its 123 years through horse-and-wagon shipping, its own internal struggles, finally diversifying to protect other workers. It grows not as a cancer-like industry, but as a responsive cure.
