@Cavalorn That argument always bugged me. Fundamentally it begs the question: why does a perfect anything *have* to exist? “We exist in a world where nothing is perfect; therefore, perfection is impossible” is just as sound an argument.

@SourceDuMal I was told literally that by some ignorant witch in Victoria’s Secret when I was 19. I left and walked into Nordstrom where I bought the 34E I needed right off the shelf. Never been back to VS and I badmouth them whenever I can.

How does it feel to be the eleventythousandth person to play a role in a four hundred year old story and be declared as THE best ever to do that character, setting a standard no one will match, even if they try until filmmaking dies?

@Cavalorn That makes more sense to me. I mean they are vulnerable to silver as part of their arcane nature, so they should also be detected by other traditional means. Plus protection against 🧛🏻 is also via traditional means like scattering seeds that they have to count until dawn.

@kimsuela_mango @15outof10 The issue is if you can’t afford care. I have been able to deal with $2k bills for two of my cats but the 15k surgery one almost needed would not have been possible. I have pet insurance but you have to pay up front and be reimbursed.

@kalanyy @kithrup @sosomanysarahs @UrsulaV Oh for sure, and my cats enjoy being petted by me. One insists on tummy pets every morning. I’m just marveling at what an act of trust that is, like a blue whale taking you in its mouth to give you an incredible back rub, you know?

@kithrup @sosomanysarahs @UrsulaV Imagine being petted by a creature 18x taller than you and unimaginably stronger and heavier. The only size comparison I can think of for a human is a whale.

Imagine a whale with hands reaching for you… I never wonder any more why creatures don’t want to be petted

@UrsulaV if I have a growing black spot on my arm, yes, I’m self-diagnosing cancer. If I have a bone sticking out of my leg, I’m self-diagnosing a broken bone. Sometimes problems are just as clear to a lay person as a pro. The SOLUTIONS are another story.
