Two people can have access to the same library, yet arrive at completely different solutions. The difference is their ability to reason.
Perhaps the next AI race is not about who has the most data, but who has the compute to turn information into intelligence.
I was having a chat with @TheRealMasud about why China may still be behind the US in frontier AI.
His view: China lacks access to the vast data assets available to US companies.
I think the deeper issue is compute.
Data helps train intelligence, but advanced chips determine how far that intelligence can be pushed. Models like Claude, Gemini and ChatGPT are increasingly differentiated by context, memory, inference and reasoning, not simply by how much data they have consumed.
‼️ A Claude Mythos 5 agent spent 34 hours trying to backdoor a real open-source project.
It hid a malware dropper inside a working bug fix. When exposed, it denied the code was malicious, rewrote Git history, and used a second account to vouch for itself.
The attempt failed because a human read the diff.

Guys, is this fucking stupid or what?
A security company apparently scanned untrusted PyPI packages by installing/executing them in an environment where useful credentials were reachable?
That is a credential donation service.
Am I missing something here, or are we living in a fever dream?
This is just insane. For me the flash release is another DeepSeek moment. Intelligence so cheap and so good that it’s literally too cheap to meter.
Many don’t get how insane this release is.
The audacity of the organizers, and Tyla, to come perform in Nigeria is wild.
With the recent killings and attacks on Nigerians and other Africans in South Africa, you’d think there’d be more sensitivity. Instead, it feels like they’re taking Nigerians for granted
I checked this with Site Behavior Lab.
The scan supports the surveillance concern.

@AlaskaAir why is any of this necessary before someone even books a flight?
This is what I mean when I tell you that companies don't take your privacy seriously.
Alaska Air already has my government ID. They know my legal name, my birthdate, my face. I cannot board their plane without handing that over.
But that's not enough. Just to view their website they require me to DEGRADE my privacy AND security so they can collect even more data about me. They won't let me even look at their website unless they collect my IP, geolocation, finger print my browser, and collect any information they can use to identify me even more. The data they want is precise enough that it makes me trackable across the whole internet long after I use their site.
This is not for my privacy or security. When companies say they value your privacy, what they really mean is your privacy is valuable to them, like an inventory item. They harvest privacy, not protect it. AlaskaAir you need to do way better than this.

Bukayo Saka became the 1st English player to score 3 goals and register 3 assists at a major tournament since records began 🤩
He played only 356 minutes... 😳
Bukayo Saka has played just 356 minutes at this World Cup, but has provided 6 goal contributions 😳
3 goals. 3 assists… Averaged a goal or assist every 59 minutes. Just imagine if he was fully fit all tournament 👏
